This hits the nail on the head. Alberta separatists are rolling out the red carpet for Trump Republicans. But “freedom” is the last thing we’ll get if we open the door to becoming “MAGA North.” Thanks to artist David Parkins from the Globe and Mail for this drawing.

🤔 The critics can't get past the former Liberal era, but they are not the same. "1. Demolishing Canada's economy while prioritizing globalist accolades over domestic success." ✔️ Canada needs both domestic and global investment, and the new Liberals are not prioritizing one over the other. Mining, LNG Phase 2 and the Darlington New Nuclear Project are promising for domestic investment, and Build Canada Homes is a start. "2. Calling everyone who demands basic accountability and positive outcomes "divisive, MAGA, or misinformed". ✔️ The new Liberals are more pragmatic toward Washington than the late Trudeau tone. "A Canada strong will help make America great again." Mark Carney "3. Blaming the opposition and Trump for the housing, investment and economic crisis… even though they’ve been in power for 11 years." ✔️ Tariffs are the real shock, and they don't erase the prior Trudeau decade. Housing was underbuilt before 2025. Trump isn't helping Canada's economy, and it's pure propaganda when the critics ignore it.

Trump is considering suspending the federal gas tax. Not only will this push up gas prices by increasing demand for gas, but the loss of tax revenue will lead to a larger budget deficit and higher inflation to finance it, which will push up the price of all goods and services.

The U.S. trade deficit rose to $105.6B in August from an upwardly revised $92.8B in July, the fifth-biggest monthly trade deficit in history. However, if you exclude the first three months of 2025, when imports were pulled forward to front-run tariffs, and March 2022, when pent-up demand was unleashed by the reopening of the economy following the pandemic shutdown, the Aug. 2026 trade deficit was the biggest monthly trade deficit ever. This proves that despite forcing Americans to pay more for imports, today's trade deficits are larger than ever. By his own standards, Trump is the worst U.S. president ever on trade. Under his watch, the U.S. is losing more on trade than it lost under any prior president. This is a fact that no one can dispute, but which no Republican will acknowledge, as they continue to attribute success to a trade policy that has demonstrably failed.

B.C. Conservatives are rudderless. They have NO leadership. BC needs far better: consistent, firm, a defined direction. The Cons offer NOTHING substantive. They are akin to nailing jello to a tree. At this critical moment, BE SMART! VOTE NDP

Republicans now having to spend many millions in multiple states where they should not have to spend anything because Trump endorsed the worst possible general election candidate in those primaries so now they are being bailed out by billionaires buying elections with dark money.

Curious choice to publish in the US when Canada is where MAID laws are governed. The current US administration is building tolerance for annexation of Canada on a theocratic basis. Be leery of professionals using foreign outlets, wittingly or unwittingly, to discredit Canada.
NY Time oped with expression of concern by 2 psychiatrists involved in implementation of MAID in their hospital & in Canada. Gary Rodin & Madeline Li point to rushed MAID decisions, MAID for socio-economic reasons, failure of professionals to explore other options

Maybe you don't understand numbers but the PQ got 28% of the vote. Nothing you do when wanting out of Canada and more about wanting change. Carney's support is highest in Quebec.
