Nolan Wells’ parents rejected the findings of a grand jury, stating at a press conference on Tuesday that they "do not believe" their 18-year-old son accidentally drowned.

Nolan Wells drowned. There is no danger surf signage. Perhaps this should change. Horn Island does not have "danger surf" signs or warning flag systems on its beaches. Because it is a highly protected, uninhabited federal wilderness area managed by the National Park Serviceas part of the Gulf Islands National Seashore, the island is kept completely undeveloped.

Produce evidence of foul play. If you can’t, then stop making this into something it’s not.

Would those jury give same verdict if it were to be their child? The world is just so wicked.

????? People can accidentally drown. Were these people outraged when Obama’s chef was found dead from shallow water drowning? Of course not.

Complain all they want to. There wasn’t any evidence to prosecute

When a family says they don’t believe the official findings, the unanswered questions deserve careful scrutiny. But the evidence should ultimately determine what happened, not speculation.

They want $$$. He was with his friends & ventured off to get laid. If something nefarious happened it would’ve come out by now. Blaming his friends bc they’re white is BS

I mean how much did he drink? It could be possible that he drank himself to a blackout state, a lot of us have been there, but now imagine falling into deep waters and now knowing how to swim or being able to. Very tough case because the pathologists disagreed on the body bruising, but that one theory could also be true about being too intoxicated. He didn’t seem to have much fat or muscle

Everybody knows that Island has dangerous current around it. One step the wrong way and you're gone. They made this about race, and demonized his friends who truly cared about him. If anything, they should be ashamed of themselves.

They will only accept information that supports that their son was murdered by his White friends instead of a tragic drowning. That’s a brutal way to live

Who gives a fuck if she accepts it or not because bottom line those are the facts. He wasn't murdered there was no evidence that he was murdered either the only evidence there was was that he drowned. She should be sued for how she ruined those other kids lives by accusing them

If y'all don't want to hear the parents then stop listening. They are grieving, many families go decades wondering how their loved one passed away.

Exactly. Black youth never die in accidents by their own hands. That would be embarrassing to them. They only die at the hands of white ppl, preferably the KKK or some 2026 version of. This is what black Twitter wants you to believe

I mean it’s hard to accept, especially a situation like this, in grief. No matter what happens to our loved ones we can’t believe it. So you can empathize with them but it doesn’t take away the facts.

a good parent trusts the system until theres a reason not to but a grieving one holds onto doubt like a lifeline and honestly i cant say i blame them
