BREAKING: Three accomplices from Jibia LGA, Katsina State, teamed up to kidnap a young boy, Umar Sa’ad Moba, and handed him over to bandits. The family reportedly paid millions of naira in ransom. After the payment, the bandits handed Umar back to the same three men to take him home. But because they knew the boy and feared he could identify them, the accomplices stopped in the bush, killed him and left. When Umar did not return home, despite the ransom being paid, his family contacted the bandits. They were told that the boy had already been released to the three men. The bandits then lured the accomplices back by claiming that more ransom money had been received. When they returned, they were detained & questioned. They confessed to killing Umar and revealed where they have left his body. They were reportedly later killed by the bandits. It is a tragic and disturbing case. But how long will civilians continue to assist bandits in kidnapping innocent people, collecting ransom and concealing their crimes, only to become victims of the same criminal network?
