I’m a bit too busy covering an election so haven’t had the time to delve into the report on antisemitism in British schools. But from what I’ve seen on this site, I’m really impressed by all those so eagerly dismantling it. I’m sure they’ve done the same with other minorities.

It is a bit weird going through life knowing that if something terrible were to happen to you or to the people (including children) that you work with, a disconcerting number of people would be pleased.

On Tuesday, Landsec shelved its £1.5bn plan for Lewisham Shopping Centre. Today, Goldsmiths has walked away from its planned Catford campus: 600+ students, a 10-year lease, millions of council investment. The Green Mayor @LiamShrivastava promised hope. Where is it for Catford?

In the future, no-one will listen to any actual Jews, any antisemitism experts or any research into the subject. They will defer entirely to Owen Jones, who has been obsessively trying to define Jewishness for Jews since he was a teenager
If a right wing commentator posted a 16-tweet thread trying to dismiss and undermine an official report into any other type of racism, Owen Jones would be the first to call them racist. But when it comes to antisemitism, he is first in line with the 'debunking'. What a hypocrite.

Owen Jones has, for the last three years, revealed himself to be a man who watched a film of Hamas atrocities and complained there wasn't "conclusive" evidence of rape; defended marches on Oct 7; responded to report of antisemitism in our schools with post headlined: "Debunked!"
Owen Jones has, for the last three years, revealed himself to be a man of enormous courage, integrity and truthfulness. No one should think for a minute that his relentless defence of Palestinian rights and historical truth is easy or comes without heavy personal costs. Throughout the genocide in Gaza, Jones remained a tireless bur rigorous and supremely decent voice. I suspect part of what initially moved him was the strong displeasure in being treated like an idiot by the official propaganda – a noble motive in itself – but there is no question he has been genuinely touched by the images of suffering arriving daily from Gaza. And yet, how does his intellectual fixation on a battle between left and right help us understand the horrors of Gaza, or move us to stop them? My impression is that the opposite has happened. People look at what is happening in Gaza and ask themselves what a person on the right or on the left should think. In many cases this is ideology. In most, simply careerism and group association. Jones shows how limited the perspective really is. How about, like the author himself, asking how a human being should feel? How about returning to the world of facts and feelings rather than our endless Marvel franchise? newstatesman.com/culture/boo…

When the government announced the review, the terms of reference stated: “It is not a review of the level of antisemitism in schools and colleges.” Yet the alleged level because the headline - based on a sample of 70 students. 29 said they'd personally experienced antisemitism

"I'm not talking about random accounts, I'm talking about academics, former senior Reuters staff, heads of large trade unions"—this.
If you need to see how far the left has fallen into a sewer of antisemitism, just look how they react towards a report written on the antisemitism Jewish schoolchildren experience in British schools. An appalling disgrace that no other community would be expected to tolerate.

Zack Polanski only appears to cite antisemitism in two contexts. There's the antisemitism that happens to him (real, terrible) And there's the antisemitism that the rest of the community speaks about (apparently deserving of denial, disparagement or conspiracy theories).

I watched a lot of people march against fascism and then a few years later mindlessly scroll tiktok until they believed it's good to harass, demonize, ostracize, beat, and kill their Jewish neighbors. As if the original fascists thought they were the bad guys when they did it.
Have you ever seen a good person become truly evil in your life?

This is utterly bonkers. How can one person (and presumably one producer) cover such an enormous brief. Education and social affairs are the things that affect millions of normal people. I am not a BBC basher, but how on earth does the corporation think this is public service?

My most controversial post in last few weeks it seems was me saying I hope we can all agree it's shameful that Jewish children are being bullied in British and Irish schools. An enormous number of replies from people deeply resentful that any attention is paid to this problem.
