It’s been 90 days and I’m back using my Mac.
I gave Linux a good honest try and I’m glad I did. @OmarchyLinux is amazing and I hope it keeps improving. @FrameworkPuter is the best non-Apple laptop I’ve ever used.
But Apple is still king. I’m not happy saying this, and I wish I could say otherwise, but their hardware + ecosystem is really hard to beat.
It's been 60 days since I started using Linux full time and stopped using a Mac.
I want to go back.
Overall, I've been pleasantly surprised by the Framework 13 Pro + Omarchy. Really fun, and I'd pick this combination again in a heartbeat over anything else out there.
Except for a Mac.
The TLDR; of all my headaches: Linux is still rough and forgotten by my app providers. I have to spend too much time dealing with things that just work on a Mac.
I'm on a 90-day experiment, so there are still 30 more days to go, but as of right now, I'm going back.

I tried going back to Mac and lasted a couple of weeks before happily returning to my @FrameworkPuter Desktop and 13, with @CachyOS / @DankLinux / @YaLTeRz Niri 😍

Today niri became 3 years old! 🎉
I finished animations for windows moving between workspaces.
This was the last major missing anim. Took so long because it's tricky with Z order (moving windows must be on top of everything), clipping, and syncing 3 different animations.

Is there a UI for editing Ethernet parameters in network manager connection? I end up having to drop to CLI to do basic toggling between manual and auto and assign IP’s.
