As long as you believe in “viruses” they will keep using the same recycled strategy.

OMFG. Have you guys heard about the new Plague spreading from a lab in Russia? They're saying it could be 25x deadlier than COVID! 0.0000009% fatality rate, x 25, is like... A 0.000025% fatality rate! We need to lockdown our kids and assassinate the economy. Right now.

Doctor: "The scan shows a fatty liver." Patient: "I don't drink." Doctor: "Non-alcoholic fatty liver. About one in three adults has it now." Patient: "What causes it?" Doctor: "Diet and weight." Patient: "Which part of the diet?" Doctor: "We'd advise cutting fat, more wholegrains, more fruit." Patient: "How do they make foie gras?" Doctor: "Sorry?" Patient: "The fat goose liver. What do they feed the goose?" Doctor: "...Corn, I think." Patient: "Grain. Down a tube. Three weeks and the liver's five times the size." Doctor: "That's a goose." Patient: "You've just prescribed the goose's diet to shrink the goose's liver." Doctor: "The guidance is wholegrains." Patient: "Does the guidance know what a farmer in Périgord has known for four hundred years?" Doctor: "I'll refer you to the dietitian." Patient: "Does she keep geese?"

There’s a thing in the Philippines called “Filipino Time”. Something is to begin at a certain time.. and ppl will show up.. but NEVER at that certain time! Lol If you want someone there at 3pm, tell them to reach at 2pm. It took me a minute, but I got used to it.

#SciFeature 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗣𝗛𝗜𝗟𝗜𝗣𝗣𝗜𝗡𝗘𝗦 𝗜𝗦 𝗡𝗢𝗧 𝗔 𝗦𝗠𝗔𝗟𝗟 𝗖𝗢𝗨𝗡𝗧𝗥𝗬 🇵🇭 The Philippines may seem small on a world map, but appearances can be misleading. With over 300,000 km² of land spread across its islands, the country is actually larger than many assume. This misconception largely comes from the Mercator projection, one of the most commonly used map styles. While it preserves shape and direction, making it useful for navigation, it significantly distorts size. Areas near the poles appear much larger, while countries closer to the equator, like the Philippines, are minimized. Because of this, places like Greenland often look enormous, sometimes comparable to Africa, when in reality, it spans about 2.1 million km², roughly seven times the size of the Philippines, not dramatically larger as maps may suggest. Meanwhile, the Philippines even exceeds the land area of the United Kingdom, which measures around 243,000 km². Maps help us understand the world, but they don’t always tell the full story. Recognizing how projections influence what we see allows us to better interpret global size and scale, and appreciate the Philippines for its true geographic extent. #Philippines #map #cartography

I’m still learning a lot about Philippines. This invasion of the Chinese that pilfer PH fishing areas really pisses me off.
BREAKING: China Coast Guard vessels are again violating the Philippines’ territorial sea near Pag-asa Island by loitering just off the coast. The island is home to 450 Filipinos and part of the Municipality of Kalayaan, Palawan. The Philippine mainland is 500 km away while the Chinese mainland is 900 km away. The UN had the Permanent Court of Arbitration in The Hague issue a verdict on the case in 2016 based on UNCLOS (United Nations Convention of the Laws of the Sea). The tribunal ruled unanimously in favor of the Philippines on almost all its claims, concluding that China's "nine-dash line" geographic claim had no legal basis under international law. The court affirmed that Pag-asa Island naturally possesses a 12-mile zone under automatic UNCLOS international law, and because the Philippines has continuous sovereignty and physical control over the land, that zone belongs to Manila. Naval and coastguard vessels are forbidden by international law from loitering in the 12-mile zone of a territorial sea. By doing so, they are actively violating the strict rules of Innocent Passage outlined in UNCLOS Articles 17–19. China Coast Guard vessels are only legally allowed to enter the 12-mile zone if they are traveling “continuously and expeditiously” from Point A to Point B. They must keep a steady speed, maintain a straight course and leave the zone as quickly as possible. Instead, China keeps breaking against UNCLOS off the island as an intimidation campaign against the Philippines. 🇵🇭🇨🇳

Is it Caturday? These are my 4 month old “twins”. Oliver is orange. Rose is grey/white. Ever had an orange cat? Spunky. In the Philippines, having cats is good. They eat the cockroaches & other insects, scare away snakes & stray dogs, keep lizards away and give you ❤️.

In the Philippines the saying is “Rice is life”. No Filipino feels full or that a meal is complete without rice. If you order out, rice is automatically served. It is perfectly shaped by using a small bowl. They even make desserts out of sticky rice and condensed milk.

Is Saturday still Caturday? What wild things does your cat eat/bring home? This is one of my cats. 4 months old. Her name is Rose. She’s caught a Melcodes Tenebrous. A native Philippines grasshopper discovered in 1870.

Filipino Boodle Fight. AKA Kamayan. Shared with multiple people and eaten with your hands. There are variations of the meat/fish; and any variation is delicious.

In Canada we can easily shoo away the flies that come near us. In the Philippines, these flies stick to you. They land like an airliner and no amount of shooing makes them go. Even when they do, they return immediately. Fans are a must. This particularly happens on humid days. 🤬

Bulalao is probably my favourite dish in the Philippines… I make my own. Bone broth as base, quality beef, cabbage and spices. I skip the corn and other carbs… sometimes I WILL add rice. But the flavourful broth with beef is fantastic.
