When you were President and more than 40 United States Secret Service agents tried to do something to me because I was doing my job in Congress, I don’t recall you doing or saying anything. Your selective outrage is politically convenient.
It is a basic principle of American democracy that the government can’t selectively target individuals simply because of their political beliefs or what they say. But that’s exactly what the Trump Administration is doing to Congresswoman Ilhan Omar of Minnesota. To understand why this is so appalling, it’s important to know the facts. Congresswoman Omar came to this country with her father when she was 12 years old. Five years later, her father became a naturalized citizen. If Ilhan had been 18 at the time, she would have had to apply for citizenship separately. But because she was 17, she became a naturalized citizen automatically. Congresswoman Omar went on to graduate from college, work as a community organizer, become the first Somali-American legislator elected to public office in the U.S., and win a seat in Congress. There, she has been one of the Trump Administration’s fiercest critics, which has led the president to repeatedly single her out as someone who he believes does not belong in this country. Now the Administration is actively trying to deport Congresswoman Omar, seemingly based solely on the unsubstantiated theory that she was actually 18 when her father was naturalized, and therefore is not a citizen. Federal agents have raided her home, confiscated personal records, and seized her phone — all to try and uncover a nonexistent smoking gun from 20 years ago that will somehow make their case. Think about that. The full weight of the federal government is being brought down on a law-abiding elected official because she has dared to criticize the president. And it’s not the first time this has happened. Under President Trump, the Justice Department has repeatedly gone after those he considers his political enemies — from the Attorney General of New York, to the former head of the FBI, to members of the Federal Reserve. In those cases, the prosecutions either stalled or were dismissed for having no basis in law, and the same is likely to happen in this case. But not before Congresswoman Omar’s life has been turned upside down, her legal bills have piled up, and she’s been forced to spend time fighting unsubstantiated charges instead of serving the people of Minnesota. The fact that any president, or any administration, is willing to engage in such transparent efforts to intimidate someone should outrage all Americans, regardless of how they feel about Congresswoman Omar’s political views. Because if this becomes the new normal, there’s no reason to believe it will stop with her — or that future presidents, in either party, won’t do the same.

Great to be back in Alaska this weekend with my friend @DanSullivan_AK. Dan has been a relentless fighter for Alaska’s energy workers and their families, and he delivers results. Early voting starts TODAY. This race comes down to turnout. Grab your family and friends and vote. The stakes are too high to sit this one out.

Democrats have been dropping hints out in the open for months about what they'll do if they sweep the midterms. Now @DataRepublican has uncovered the terrifying strategy. Thousands of internal transcripts and recordings reveal the DSA's operational plan to trigger a "doomsday scenario." They want to manufacture enough street chaos, like we're seeing in France, to force Trump to use the Insurrection Act in 2027. Then, they'll cry "fascism" until they can delegitimize federal authority and hand power to Democratic governors in a color revolution. THIS IS WHAT THEY’VE ALWAYS BEEN PLANNING. Remember when Susan Rice threatened to hold corporations, law firms, and tech companies that cooperated with Trump "accountable" through subpoenas? And Sen. Elissa Slotkin recently admitted she wants to "scare" young professionals by creating "reputational risk" so nobody wants to serve in a conservative administration. They want to set the country on fire until you have no choice but to yield.

Republicans don’t speak this way. We want a robust debate of the issues. We want young people to be educated on all political philosophies, because we believe they will freely choose conservatism. Dems use indoctrination, political prosecutions & manipulation. Un-American.

I was a senate staffer. I couldn’t imagine being a staffer for @SenatorSlotkin Platner had a Nazi tattoo. And Elissa was fine. Peltola called her staffers faggot and N word in anger, and Elissa is fine. El-Sayed won’t disavow the muslim freaking brotherhood, and Elissa is fine. But if you have an R next to your name, Elissa will use government to come after you. Not the Nazi. Not the racist & homophobe. Not the muslim terrorist. The Republican. That’s how low she’s sunk just 2 years on the job. She’s literally becoming Gollum as evil consumes her. I’d be ashamed to work for such a vile person.

Bernie Sanders showed up at the University of Florida to tell Floridians how bad things are.. Florida has no state income tax, a $117.6 BILLION budget, about $18 billion in reserves, and AAA credit ratings from every major agency, per the governor's office. Its m*rder rate is 3.9 per 100,000, compared with California's 4.5 and Illinois' 5.8. Its vioIent crime rate is 267 per 100,000, versus California's 486 and New York's 380. Florida went for Trump by 13.1 POINTS in 2024, after Trump won it by about 3 in 2020. Republicans now have 1.5 MILLION more active registered voters than Democrats, and Miami-Dade, which hadn't gone red since 1988, flipped. Also, nothing says "No Kings" like supporting Bernie Sanders, who's been in politics for 45 YEARS.

Florida Amendment 3, plain English: YES raises the homestead exemption on non-school taxes from about $51K to $150K in 2027, then $250K in 2028. Non-homestead assessment hikes capped at 5% a year, not 10%. Tradeoff: less money for cities and counties. Needs 60%. Your vote?

Appreciate @FoxNews for quoting me in this piece. Thanks to our team @ThinkerChicago, the American people are now aware of Senator Slotkin’s threats to young conservatives.
Sen. Elissa Slotkin says she wants the threat of prosecution to serve as a "deterrence message" that scares young people away from taking jobs in the Trump administration. The Michigan Democrat made the remarks at a University of Chicago event, saying she wants prospective hires to think, "Lord, that might be buying myself a ton of problems that I don't want, and so let me avoid participating in that." The comments drew sharp backlash from legal scholars and conservative students alike, with law professor Jonathan Turley saying Slotkin "said the quiet part out loud."
