This👇🏼 is EXACTLY why we need lobbying reform & greater transparency over ministerial diaries - things I've been pushing alongside colleagues on the crossbench for years. "In-house lobbyists" (people who work for a company or peak body) should be subject to the same rules and cooling off periods as "third party lobbyists" (people who work for a lobbying firm). Action on these changes are well overdue. skynews.com.au/australia-new…

Lobbying is LEGALIZED BRIBERY. All lobbying does, is proves voting doesn't matter, as voters just get the pollies 3 more years of feathering their own nests. Why care about 200k/y-500k/y job for the people, when losing elections wins a 1m+/y job out of politics as a THANKYOU!

“Lobbying reform” ? Independents and Teals are the biggest lobbyists for Simon, Climate 200 and Australia Institute. So mixed up one doesn’t know who represents who!

You’re all talk and no action. You want election reform so things are fairer; then why vote down Labor’s 2024/25 electoral reform bill? Were you lobbied? That would’ve lowered donation disclosure thresholds to $1000 amongst other much needed reforms. It probably would’ve stymied the rise of One Nation too.

People develop professional relationships, and this develops into productive outcomes. That the lobbyist ex-staffer can talk to someone in government is not the problem. Government acting in a way that it isnt in the public interest is the problem.

Independent Dr Mon wrote about lobbying currently In Parliament 15 lobbyists per politician daily! It was the same during 9 years of Libs in government! Please write about it how it was then not just now with albanese’s government

How do you propose to manage parliamentary visits by ex-MPs now employed directly or at arm's length by the mercenary renewables industry? @AuSenate

Does this apply to you and your socialist elite mates in charity sector who cry poor everyday and get billions of funding to enjoy their huge salaries? Or does it apply to your @unionsaustralia who you blindly support. Or your energy industry mates who use you to get subsidies?
