The Embassy of Israel to the United Kingdom is disappointed but not surprised by CST’s latest report published today, which recorded a 21% increase of anti-Jewish hate across the UK in the first six months of 2026. This report details the horrific instances of antisemitism that we have seen recently, but also highlights how these events embolden people to carry out more antisemitic acts, with the days of the Hatzola ambulance arson attack, and Golders Green stabbing having some of the highest incident levels this year. It is disturbing that such incidents spur on more hate against Jews. 41% of the incidents were linked to Israel, demonstrating how extreme rhetoric against Israel leads to everyday hate, discrimination and violence against British Jews. This cannot be tolerated any further. Jewish people must feel safe in this country to be themselves and practice their religion freely and openly, without fear of being targeted. The State of Israel continues to stand with Britain’s Jewish Community against hate and calls upon the UK government to take further steps to tackle the growth of an antisemitic culture and increasingly extreme characterisations of the world’s only Jewish state.
