Celebrating
#AyurvedaDay a special program was organised by DIPAS, DRDO at Metcalfe House, New Delhi on the theme “Ayurveda for a Healthier Tomorrow”, highlighting the relevance of Ayurveda and traditional Indian knowledge systems in promoting holistic health, preventive healthcare and overall well-being.
The programme was graced by Dr. Upendra Singh, DS & DG (SSS) as the Chief Guest, while Dr. Ravindra Singh, OS & DG (R&M), DRDO attended as the Guest of Honour. During the event, Dr. Sakshi Sharma, Senior Research Officer, CCRAS – Central Ayurveda Research Institute, New Delhi, delivered a special talk on “Fundamentals of Ayurveda: Synonymous to Healthy Life”
The programme brought together the domains of modern defence science and Ayurveda, with discussions focusing on the potential of traditional knowledge and holistic approaches in promoting healthy lifestyles and enhancing well-being. The importance of preventive healthcare, balanced living and greater awareness of India's rich Ayurvedic heritage was also highlighted.
