It's long past time for editorial boards across the U.S. to call for Trump to: (1) resign; (2) be removed via the 25th Am; and (3) to be impeached. They don't have to choose which way he should be removed, but they must explicitly argue that he cannot be allowed to remain POTUS.

A 25-year-old woman was abducted at gunpoint and forced into the back seat of a car. Desperate for someone to notice, she locked eyes with two teenage boys in another vehicle and silently mouthed two words… “Help me.” 17-year-old Jamal Harris and 19-year-old Aaron Arias immediately called 911 and began following the car. The driver realized they were behind him and started speeding up, slowing down and swerving through traffic trying to lose them. But Jamal and Aaron stayed with him, continuously updating police on where the car was going. They knew if they lost sight of it, the woman could disappear. Police eventually caught up, surrounded the vehicle and arrested the driver. The woman was finally safe, and later embraced the teenagers who had noticed her silent plea and refused to look away. Jamal and Aaron were just out driving that day. But because they paid attention and kept following when it would have been easier to turn away, a kidnapped woman made it home safely. These are the types of young people the internet should be talking about. 💙

The Mayor has a coalition with the ulrra-Orthodox and the Kahanist right he feels obligated to maintain. The Mayor threatened to fire the Director of the Jerusalem Museum if she gave a room to academicians conducting a workshop on anti-Christian hate crime. Israeli intelligence, Israeli hi-tech, Israeli medical breakthroughs, Israeli women and men of letters, Israeli Nobel laureates, Israeli technical and medical aid to victims of natural disasters, all things of which we can be proud, do not give us license us to doing what we have been doing in Gaza, the occupied West Bank and East Jerusalem, things that decent people and wise leaders cannot countenance. It's not that kind of ledger sheet. Israel has morphed into something that decent people are finding impossible to support. It will only get worse until we own up to it.

I'm thinking that the GOP stunt about Jack Smith and the basketball game wasn't a misunderstanding of Hawks/Hawkeyes. I think Schmitt and company planned to flash that poster and then move on, leaving Mr. Smith looking confused on camera and unable to explain the supposed texts. The thing that blew it up, and the thing that really got to Schmitt, was that Senator Klobuchar called him on it and foiled his plans. The GOP men involved were mad at being exposed and beaten by a woman.
