If they looked at it, they would have to change their fundamental view of reality. Therefore, they will not look at it.
You reduce crime by hanging the worst criminals.
You reduce crime by eliminating poverty. The reason so called nice neighborhoods have lower crime rates is because people’s basic needs are being met. It is not because of police, alarm systems, or neighborhood associations. Poverty creates crime.

There is no secret combination of words or circumstances that will cause the Fairy Godmother of Rhetoric to turn all these stupid shitlibs into traditional conservatives by a wave of her magic wand. If they don’t get it now, then they never will.

And here’s the really infuriating part: You could rush to her defense, put yourself between her and the looters, and get your skull smashed in protecting her business. But if you called one of those looters a slur in the process, she’d almost certainly take their side and be more outraged by your language than their wanton destruction.
