It’s dirty politics at its worst. David Eby and the NDP called an unnecessary and callous snap election two years early because they believed they could win again while the opposition was without a permanent leader. They ignored municipal and school-board candidates who were already campaigning, as well as the Union of BC Municipalities’ request to wait. Maybe that was part of the plan. With municipal elections underway, the NDP may have calculated that British Columbians would have less time to focus on its record: spending, massive deficits, health-care challenges, crime and disorder, the toxic-drug crisis and rising costs. I supported Kerry-Lynne Findlay in the leadership race, along with thousands of others. I understand the frustration and disappointment many people feel about what happened. But I hope we will set those feelings aside and seize this opportunity to change course with a new government. This appeal is for all British Columbians: conservatives, centrists, independents, disillusioned NDP voters, working families, seniors, young people and small-business owners. Particularly, I appeal to those considering OneBC and CenterBC. We may not agree on everything, but for those who believe life has become increasingly difficult under the NDP, the choice is clear: support Lorne Doerkson and the BC Conservatives. Let’s not allow disagreement or bitterness to cost us this opportunity to turn British Columbia around.

Unbelievable! Today while David Eby called another costly election, he then went on to blame the horrific state of BC on Trump. Eby would not admit that BC was a trainwreck economically well before Trump's tariffs. NDP refuses to take responsibility for anything- as usual.

Wait, so I’m confused. Anthony Russo gets his membership revoked for supporting OneBC. But Peter Milobar and the MLA who followed him out of the BC Conservatives not only got to keep their memberships despite starting a new party (BC Party) and then later joining CentreBC but they also got to come back and take over the CPBC again. From what people in the know say Peter is throwing a lot of weight around in the party and dictating how things will be run. So you leave the party for opportunistic reasons you get to keep your membership and the CPBC will roll out the red carpet for you to come back. But if you’re a member who gets sick of all the games and you leave and support another party, you get kicked out???
