Danielle Smith’s Bill 11 is becoming reality. The wealthy can pay for faster surgery leaving those who can’t pay potentially die while waiting. My fear: a drained public system where everyone else waits and some die waiting. Health care should depend on NEED, not wealth. Alberta, vote her out. Ontario, Doug Ford is doing the same. we’re immune.

Kenso Soai – awarded the 2026 #NobelPrize in Chemistry – designed the first chemical reaction in which only one of the potential mirror images was formed. Other than life itself, no one had ever achieved this feat. The Soai reaction is one of the most spectacular chemical experiments ever conducted.

Ok. I’ve spent a whole day celebrating Karl Deisseroth’s very deserved Nobel (with every other brain enthusiast!). Now let’s talk about the brilliance of Dr. Michelle Monje, his wife. A Stanford physician, neuroscientist and recipient of a MacArthur Genius grant, Michelle has helped pioneer cancer neuroscience, revealing how brain activity can fuel tumor growth and opening new possibilities for treatment. And I say all this because I’ve been lucky to see her work firsthand and have been awe struck since the moment I met her. What makes Michelle extraordinary is the combination of scientific brilliance and her absolute unwavering commitment to children with devastating brain cancers. She is pushing the science forward because those children and their families cannot afford to wait. Everybody deserves to know @michelle_monje.

Kyle Campbell (NDP) has been an MLA for one day. He has signed the pledge to stand up for Canada. Jason Nixon (UCP) has been an MLA for 4,145 days. He refuses to sign the pledge to stand up for Canada. Danielle Smith (UCP) has been an MLA for 1,456 days (this time). She refuses to sign the pledge to stand up for Canada. Alberta deserves more MLAs like Kyle Campbell who will actually fight to keep Alberta in Canada.

It's time to lock in, my friend. If you feel sad, sick, stressed, stuck, or tired of constantly settling, today is the day to take action and make it better. Your brain is on your side! When you decide to take one action that seems unpleasant or difficult or even impossible, your brain gets the message that is not the boss of you, and it begins to wire in a more robust response that will help you take action across the board in your life. That's the miracle of how your brain is designed to be under the control of your mind and to get structurally better when you change your thought life and your perspective. That's what we call #selfbrainsurgery. Things do not have to stay the way they have been. But nothing changes until you change something. Don't wake up tomorrow and feel the same as you did today. It's hard and holy work to change, but it is worth it. Love tomorrow more than you hate how you feel right now, and take a step towards transforming your life. That's the sixth commandment of self-brain surgery. Share this with a friend who needs to lock in, and save it for later when you need a reminder to get after it. And follow me for daily connections between neuroscience and faith that will help you in your quest for healing, hope, and higher performance in your life. A very good boy may have just earned his place in the church choir. During Mass at The Grotto’s annual Blessing of the Animals on Sept. 20, one husky couldn’t resist joining in when the music began. In a now-viral video filmed by attendee Blanca Gallardo, the pup lets out a series of enthusiastic howls as a priest sings — prompting the priest to walk over and hold a microphone near the furry vocalist. The moment has become an internet hit, with the Instagram Reel drawing 7.1 million views and 741,000 likes. The husky’s owner and identity were not initially known, though Gallardo said she attended the blessing with her own dog, Phoebe. The clip’s comments quickly turned the impromptu duet into a heavenly punchline. One viewer, @kindsi, wrote: “The priest sang, ‘all creatures of our God and King, lift up your voice and let us sing’ and the husky said ‘HaleAWOOOOOyah!’” Honestly, the dog was just following directions. The Blessing of the Animals took place at 3:30 p.m. in The Grotto Plaza. The annual event welcomes people and pets of all faiths and celebrates the “joy, beauty, love, fidelity, encouragement and comfort” that animal companions bring into people’s lives. And if this dog had anything to say about it, that comfort apparently comes with a powerful set of lungs. Today, on the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi, it seems only right that one enthusiastic husky reminded everyone at Mass that all creatures are invited to lift up their voices, even if that voice is an awe-inspiring “awoooo.” Read more at Churchpop.com! ✍🏻 Claudette Jerez 📹: IG @divine_phoebe

This story is wild. If you’re tempted to vote for separation to “send a message,” please read it. The only “message” your vote will send will be one of credibility and encouragement for the absolute loons profiled here. As the story shows, they can’t even get along with each other. Imagine these keystone cops trying to negotiate secession while running a $400 billion economy. These bootlickers went to Washington with no mandate from anyone. They offered to give away our water, rights to our oil, and ultimately our sovereignty to a foreign power. As the story reveals, a bunch of them want to turn Alberta into some weird extension of the Christian nationalist wing of MAGA. We *do* need to vote to send a message: that their campaign to collude with a foreign power, turn us against one another, and destroy our country ends decisively on October 19.
A Michigan delegation travelled to Calgary to sell separatists on software developed for Republicans to get out the vote – and how it could be used to wrench Alberta from Confederation. For David Parker, an organizer for Alberta separation, the software was the path to victory – one that ultimately resulted in a massive privacy breach involving the sensitive personal data of nearly three million Albertans. But Parker’s embrace of the Michigan delegation is evidence of a pattern: separatist factions in Alberta eager to engage the U.S. in their plans for secession, and American actors willing to assist, either privately or openly. Through interviews with The Globe on both sides of the border, people involved in politics, the corporate sector and Alberta’s pursuit of separatism have described persistent efforts by figures in the U.S. administration and conservative political establishment to support groups seeking American expansionism and independence for Alberta. theglobeandmail.com/canada/a…
