By 2026, 96 women in parliament, and in 2 days, the country will vote to elect 395 members of the House of Representatives, with 60 seats reserved for women by law, putting female representation at roughly 24% of the legislature. The inaugural Africa Mindset Reset Forum has officially come to a close in Kigali. Convened by the @ASG_Africa, the #MindsetReset2026 Forum brought together more than 6,000 registered participants from 74 countries, including over 1,000 who attended in person. Across two days, Kigali became a convening point for conversations on African leadership, governance, human capital, institutions and the continent’s capacity to shape its own future. For Ms Monica Geingos, the development of young African human capital is the catalyst behind this work.
