Love you for arguing cel theo. I did a recent reexamination of it. At the very least it's doing central angle and chord-tangent theorem on a sphere. The baseline can't be flattened by adding the curve back to it because the defined dist is still the same as of the sphere. I would advise against using it as an FE exclusive argue. I'll have a retraction video in the coming days to explain.
