I really do not care for posts that quote men and not scripture. I don't care what cs lewis thinks, or spurgeon, or billy graham, or augustine, or anyone. BIBLE. What does the BIBLE say. Not your favorite Christian superstar. They were fallible, and many of them were heretics.

Spend more time boasting in what Christ has done instead of what you've done.

Legalism is now the norm in Christianity. Churches never teach the commandments Jesus gave. Instead they teach the old covenant. The ten commandments are NOT the commandments of Jesus. You have been lied to. Loving like others you love yourself, is not a commandment of Jesus. You are not the standard.

The believer in Jesus Christ is indeed dead to the law and alive to Jesus (Galatians 2:19).

Yes. That’s grace and forgiveness. Now she doesn’t “get off easy”. She has to deal with millions of angry online anonymous commenters. With the fact that pornographic images of her exist everywhere. With the scorn some others will pile upon her future children. And the psychological damage must be immense. None of us know what burden that is, and hopefully because we made better life choices. But grace is grace: we didn’t earn it. We couldn’t. The Jesus who died for you died for her and for billions of others, and her sins are nailed to the cross and she bears them no more. If this makes you angry instead of joyful, ask yourself why. Is this not the same grace by which you were saved? Is a new soul in heaven not worthy of great rejoicing? Do we somehow deserve our grace more than her, even if we couldn’t possibly earn it? The reason people have died for Christ is because there IS NO OTHER way. The world demands payment and punishment. We are punished and shamed. Jesus offers a free gift that makes absolutely zero sense, yet is as real as the nose upon your face (not my face). Be happy for people when they find Christ.

To me, the term “Arminianism” is like the term “cisgender.” These are terms invented by deviants to make normal people seem to have their own form of deviancy. A belief in the human capacity to choose God is not “ Arminianism.” It’s biblical. It’s what it means to be human.

Either humans make choices, or God makes humans make those choices, in which case humans don’t in fact make choices. So which is it? I suspect you’re reluctant to say. The problem isn’t that I misunderstand you—it’s that you won’t face the implications of your own position.
