🔥🚨DEVELOPING: former NFL star Colin Kaepernick just put White people on notice, he says if you are White and you choose to adopt a Black child “you should do your work” and make sure ‘you have Black folks around your child’ if you want to be their parent.

I read that Sharon Stone said that Sydney Sweeney has to “take responsibility” for her recent scandalous ads, and I’m glad she’s spoken out. If there’s one thing we can all agree on, it’s that Sharon Stone kept her clothes on and still succeeded in Hollywood.

I was out shopping and saw a heartbreaking story. Some of you may remember that one year ago, a cowardly criminal hiding in wait murdered several York county police officers, some from Spring Grove, PA. Two cats which used to belong to one of the officers from Spring Grove have been placed back into a local pet rescue because his family can’t care for them anymore. “Tink” and “Bell” are looking to live somewhere together as a pair. I don’t know if this officer’s widow or parents were forced to do this, but no matter the backstory, I’m sure it was done with a heavy heart after one year of caring on their own. So I’m hoping that if any Pennsylvania or Maryland readers looking for pets can contact the West York Petsmart and adopt these two. Their loving owner was taken from us far too soon and they deserve care from a new family that can honor his sacrifice. This is a great way of stepping up and honoring the sacrifices of our local officers. These kitties should still have their “dad” with them. But surely we can help. Feel free to let any friends in the kicks area know.

Let me explain how the Conn/Sauve video is actually the most feminist coded language possible. I refer, of course, to the idea that women can’t be left unsupervised and that a man must monitor their activities and associations. This is listed as some sort of biblical patriarchy. It is nothing of the sort. You see, most of the anger revolves around treating women like hapless children who can’t function without men nearby. How can that be feminist? Because when women have no agency, women have no responsibility. What? Yes; if a man must monitor every single thing a woman does, lest she falter, then it is a moral failure on his part when she sins. It’s more HIS sin than hers, since he allowed her to miss the mark. Patriarchy as defined by Ogden makes men responsible for the sins of their wives. That’s why it attracts some types of women; imagine a life where a man is accountable for that you think and do! You can’t ever be wrong! If you disobey, is HIS fault, not yours! The unintended consequences are feminism! Don’t believe me? If you think a woman’s sins are a failure of her husband, then you blame men for what women do. Feminists…blames men for what was done to women. Either way, women lack agency and a man is to blame. Allowing women agency to be adults is what makes them responsible for their own actions. Her actions are her own, good and evil. Her sins are hers only, and her burden to bear. No one else can be responsible for you. By infantilizing women, we’ve forced men to bear responsibility for another adult they can’t possibly control. And telling them they’re failures when they can’t do the impossible isn’t helping men; it’s leading them into disaster with lies. This isn’t loving men; it’s setting them up for destruction:

"Women having unsupervised access to one another" is one of the funniest sentences I've heard in a long time. It sounds like a Seinfeld line, honestly. More seriously, the fear behind some of the "patriarchal" mindset is noteworthy. Guys, there's something better than fearing that your wife might go wild on you. It's trusting your godly wife in a God-centered and grace-driven way. Do you lead her and watch out for her as her "head" (Eph. 5:22)? Absolutely! You better do so. But do you distrust her, overburden her, and unwisely suffocate her? Not at all. The Bible gives us the grace-driven way. It's right there in plain sight before all of us. The godly husband of Proverbs 31:11 is one who goes outside the home to provide and lead the city. Mark his "heart" attitude toward his wife while he's gone: "The heart of her husband trusts in her, and he will have no lack of gain." Note the relationship here: he "trusts in her" and as a result enjoys great blessing from God. Some of what I see from "patriarchy" voices runs the opposite direction. Women are feared; women are untrusted; because of this, women live under a man who is domineering and frankly ungodly toward his wife. Such men are not Proverbs 31:11 men; they do not trust their Christian wife. They micro-manage her. They leave her little freedom, little room to breathe. She thus lives in some combination of anxiety, fear, anger, and repression. This is part of why women in such environments will on occasion go off the reservation. It will shock people when they do, because to that moment she has been buttoned-down. She has painted by the numbers, and the family life has looked like a patriarchal fairy-tale. But behind the scenes, her husband has failed her. He has failed her not because he has led her, but because he has misled her. He has suffocated her. He has micro-managed her. He has not trusted her in a righteous way. He has lived in fear toward her, and not committed her to Christ, who is her Lord and master and king. Has feminism had many bad effects on the church? Yes. Have some women been influenced at some level to not submit to their husbands and to see even godly authority in the home as bad? Yes. Is the rightful response to this to distrust our wives and leave them without "unsupervised access" to one another? Not at all. Our churches have lots of freedom in living out Titus 2. But it is a good thing for women to get together, go on retreats, train one another for godliness and womanliness (per Titus 2), meet up together privately for coffee, have events, hear from godly mature women at conferences, read good books written by godly women, and lots more besides. Again, we have much gospel freedom in what all this can look like. I have said it before, but there is a better paradigm than a fear-based one. Fear-based paradigms are almost always shame-based paradigms, which are the opposite of grace-based paradigms rooted in the gospel. Instead of living in fear, we can live in the gladness of the finished work of Christ. We can trust in a good God to work in our marriages and families. We need such work, in truth; we break things and get things wrong and need a whole lot of divine help to be godly men and women. This very much includes me! My prayer here is that the church will reject fear-based thinking and embrace grace-based thinking. This is what is behind the Proverbs 31:11 husband; he trusts in his godly wife, and his life is not filled with sorrow and pain as a result. His life is filled with "gain," God-given gain. So can ours be, brothers.

If you want to have more sex and better sex: accept Jesus, obey Him, meet someone else who does. Yes, really.
"No group of Americans seems to be having more sex—and more satisfying sex—than married men & women who regularly attend a place of worship. In fact, we find the only Americans who have avoided the country’s “sex recession” are husbands & wives who attend religious services at least twice a month." ~ my latest @TheAtlantic w/ @grantjbailey

Why has support for gay marriage among Republicans dropped off a cliff in the last four years? Yes, the T overplayed their hand and it's poisoning the LGB. BUT ALSO Conservatives hate seeing motherless babies on the hairy chests of men who bought them.
The hidden child trafficking. Gay Marriage = Purchasing Children. Katy Faust, @ThemBeforeUs , says society is reacting negatively to "seeing motherless babies" purchased through these arrangements. Is the commercialization of surrogacy a growing ethical concern, or does this overlook the reality of modern, loving families? “Skeletor, you criticize feminism but you disagree with Theobro takes on gender roles! Don’t think modernity is WORKING? We HAVE to do something!” Yes, we do. Modernity has failed men and women, and our low marriage rates reflect this. But another bad idea won’t fix the problem. “Do not rebuke an older man but encourage him as you would a father, younger men as brothers, older women as mothers, younger women as sisters, in all purity.” 1 Timothy 5:1-2 ESV In those two verses, we are taught a great deal about how Christian men and women are to behave. I must respect older men and women like parents, and my peers like siblings. Notice that this is far more than husband and wife? I treat other Christian women with respect, not only my wife. And I honor Christian men as family members, too. “But what if they’re wrong?!” Do we not rebuke our family members when they’re sinning? But we do so in ways that honor them, so they’ll learn and improve. We don’t crush or mock them. We are to love our Christian family members. And love? “If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.” 1 Corinthians 13:1, 4-7 ESV I know we read this passage at weddings for obvious reasons, but Paul never intended this to be exclusive to marriage. This is love we need to practice with our fellow humans. The reason we can’t tell nice gays to get married is because love rejoices with the truth. We can’t lie to them to make them feel better! That’s not love. We can’t insist on our own way or be arrogant and rude because then we aren’t loving one another. This doesn’t stop when we go out into the world. Yes friends, it’s true: “What the world needs now, is love, sweet love. It’s the only thing that there’s just too little of.” As a society who has strayed from Christ, our error is that we have redefined love from what God says to what the world says. “Christians” who left the church because it disagreed with gay marriage said they found it “unloving”. They felt this way because the world, and not the Word, defined “love” for them. And the world changes this definition by the minute. 1 Corinthians 13 has remained the same 2000 years. What’s the more steadfast definition? I’ll let you decide.

If the average person understood codependency, they would realize that much of what they consider “love” is extreme control of another person. Children need someone who’s thinking for them, yes. But adults need agency, and when we deny it, even good intentions fail.

In addition to the theological absurdity, I’d also add that a man who is required to do this for his wife and daughters would be too busy to have a job, sleep, pursue hobbies, worship, or socialize. All he would have time for is obsessive micromanaging.
If you think women should be able to vote, have jobs, live alone, or have unsupervised access to one another, that is because "you have normalcy bias for insane world": "You're living in an insane asylum and you think it's the normal world." peoplefor.org/rightwingwatch…

It amazes me how much of progressive Christianity is what the CCP forces public churches to teach if they wish to remain open in China. Whether evil is enforced or chosen willingly, it has similar patterns.

I had a missionary to Senegal visit our church (good reputation, Baptist-sponsored, good rapport with the pastor) who said that most of the Senegalese Christian who faith did so in connection to either (1) witnessing a miracle; or (2) seeing a vision. It’s a common reported phenomenon of Muslims who come to faith in Jesus that they had a dream or vision of Jesus that affected him. For whatever reason, the Holy Spirit is not having many (obvious, visible) miracles in the modern USA Church, but they do happen in different places, times & people.
