The increasing proliferation of the word "moat" in current discourse sure is revealing of a blossoming siege mentality harbored in the collective subconscious

This investigation was completely false. ABC News is lying to you.
@ABC is refusing to correct this lie. @ByNathanLee's "analysis" is totally bogus, and he knows it, because Anduril provided him with the actual numbers - 1789 Capital has only invested a total of $50M in Anduril, and this so-called "major stake" is about 1/1000th of the company.
The claim of $6B+ in "active or promised government contracts" is also a lie. Most of that amount is in hypothetical contract ceilings, which are (by design) larger than the government or the contractor expect to transact.
The problem for Nathan and ABC, which they also know, is that a bunch of people, including the Governor, assumed they were telling the truth and acted on it. Admitting they got this wrong would make a legal judgement against them trivially easy. And so they lie.

Margaret Hamilton was a pioneer whose work helped make Apollo and humanity’s first journeys to the Moon possible. The best way to honor her legacy is to finally pick up where her generation left off and never stop going.
We’ve lost an icon. Margaret Hamilton, a computer science pioneer best known for her work at MIT leading development of the flight software for the Apollo missions to the moon, has died at 90. Read about her legacy via MIT News: news.mit.edu/2026/margaret-h…

You’re asking Trump to be Francisco Franco and that’s like asking a 10 year old to strike out Aaron Judge.
Franco comes later. Trump is the beginning. Not the end. Accept him for what he is. He’s been valuable getting the ball rolling.

Inspiring words from Secretary of State Rubio @SecRubio. Great nations do great things. America chose to do something hard before, and we choose to do it again. We are going 🇺🇸
SECRETARY RUBIO: Today, we find ourselves at a crossroads because the next decade and the decisions we make will write the story of the next century. The course we take will determine whether the West maintains its place at the head of the world, or resigns itself to a future of atrophy, servitude, and decline. We will either choose to act now, or lose the choice to act at all.
Under President Trump, the United States has made its choice.

California: let’s eat the ~250 people—generally the most productive and innovative—who already pay for ~50% of the state budget.
This is morally wrong and won’t end well. I’m glad I left this state a decade ago.
