this is probably one of the most interesting things I’ve read on CT in a while.
I knew
@MLeeJr before mostly from seeing him around
$DRB and later
@lienfiapp, but I never really understood how long the
$DRB conviction went back.
19 months is crazy.
in march 2025, Grok suggested a token and
@bankrbot deployed it on
@base 75 seconds later.
before AI agents launching tokens felt normal. before the Coinbase listing. before Fomo. before most of the attention it has today.
he saw something in that moment and kept betting on the thesis.
and the part that gets me isn’t even the price.
it’s being willing to believe in a future that doesn’t exist yet, put your conviction behind it publicly, and then keep showing up when almost nobody cares.
anyone can build a thesis after something wins.
doing it before the outcome is obvious and sticking with it for 19 months is different.
maybe
@elonmusk talks about
$DRB one day. maybe he never does. nobody knows where any of this ends.
but if that moment ever comes, people will call it obvious in hindsight.
the timeline shows it wasn’t.
this is what conviction looks like to me.
