It's scary how far AI is going into roguishness. The recent attacks have showcased how AI has the possibility to be the best tool of the century, OR the mistake that sets us back 50 years of progress. I guess we will eventually see what is what, but I am sensing some impending laws coming around the topic. As it is, AI can do a lot more bad than good in the wrong hands. What is your opinion?

Question for players, not devs: Would you play a game with AI-generated dialogue if the characters reacted to what you actually said? Or does it break the magic of hand-written stories?

The games we've long wanted, which didn't exist because they'd cost several times more to make than they'd earn back, will soon become possible. As will the games developers wanted to build, but couldn't with the resources available. It'll be a new golden age of gaming.

That's what we found with code experiments back in January, but now it's WAY better, and we're learning to organize code, documentation, and .md file architecture descriptions to provide way more context and architectural stability.

Better? My brother have you seen the Fortnite UI? It lags 3-4 seconds every time you switch a tab.

This is urgent, it’s related to my access to YPP

Looks like Calif showcased an iOS 27.0.1 untethered jailbreak with root on iPhone 18 Pro at #hexacon UNTETHERED! That’s something you don’t see everyday.

Do you think they will release it? Or is there any chance for a new jailbreak?

really feels like AI may be on the cusp of something now that's it's reverse engineering things.

All AD platforms do these kind of tactics, this one just so happens to have it running locally so it got caught.

We have a huge pivot underway here at Epic, moving developers around to retool for maximum AI acceleration. The aim isn't to do the same stuff with fewer people, but to enable everyone here to build MORE and BETTER stuff, and to bring the benefits to all teams using Unreal.

Trust me, I believe I speak for everyone when I tell you absolutely nobody wants to pay 50 bucks for your next AI slop. At least until now, games were the product of actual people working on graphics, code, animations, characters, stories, environments, it had a soul. What is Fortnite's soul these days? >> Advertise HERE << ?

Our more modest aim is to survive the AI revolution, help other developers do the same, and come out on the other end making better code and content faster.

Well, not quite sure Fortnite will survive the "ai revolution", no offense but it's become a giant billboard and the UI is so buggy I can only assume you used the free tier AI to make it. You are forgetting the core of your company, what put you on the map: the users. And when the users are gone, you will be too.

this is insane. like we can all just admit this is insane right?

GPT-Sol is spitting out Chinese characters mid sentence right now, which shows it's heavily quantized. What they're giving users is straight garbage. Is this what we're paying for?

I never applied to os dev positions either. What's your point?

My point is that those have their uses (osdev, gamedev, embedded, etc.) so it’s not the “midwit” interviewer asking useless questions. One thing can be done several ways, but some ways are more robust or well suited than others.

In 10+ years of coding I've never needed semaphore, I've never needed to know anything about virtual tables, u and I've never needed to reverse a binary tree. Yet I get asked shit like that all the time by midwit interviewers.

Then you clearly never done OSDEV. No offense, but you cannot ChatGPT your way out of memory alignment, proper semaphores, mutexes, watchdogs, etc.

Is com.apple.iokit.EndpointSecuritySE really what is cracked to be? Cuz if so, jailbreaking is pretty much over.
