As we conclude this year’s Ambassadors’ Meeting, I extend my sincere appreciation to all officials of the Ministry for their unwavering dedication in advancing Malta’s interests abroad. Special recognition to Ambassador @FrancescaCV_MT and Diplomat Antonella Bajada for their exemplary service.

Warmest congratulations to our colleagues @MFEAMalta and the people of Malta on Independence Day 🇺🇦 🇲🇹 Ukraine highly values Malta’s steadfast support for our sovereignty and territorial integrity, its principled stance against Russia’s aggression, and its commitment to accountability, including the Special Tribunal for the Crime of Aggression. We are grateful for Malta’s support for Ukraine’s European path, efforts to bring Ukrainian children home, and work to strengthen sanctions pressure on Russia and counter sanctions evasion. We look forward to further deepening our partnership for justice, security and a lasting peace. Viva Malta!

Today, a special joint meeting of the @OSCE Permanent Council and the Forum for Security Co-operation in Vienna was convened at Ukraine’s demand. This joint meeting addressed Russia’s massive missile and drone attacks against Ukraine, as well as Moscow’s latest threats. OSCE Participating States clearly condemned Russian terror and reaffirmed their strong commitment to continue supporting Ukraine. Despite Moscow’s attempts to intimidate our state and foreign diplomats, the international community firmly stands with Ukraine. I value all messages of genuine solidarity and support, as well as the swift response of the Swiss OSCE Chairpersonship #OSCE26CH and the Georgian Chairpersonship of the Forum for Security Co-operation #FSC2026GEO in convening this meeting. I am personally grateful to my Swiss and Georgian counterparts, @ignaziocassis and @MakaB__, for their leadership, and to all countries who clearly stood up today in defence of the UN Charter and Helsinki Principles.
