In my daily work in haematology I see uncontrolled case series like this all the time. No control arm, no randomization, mixed tumor types, patients also on standard therapy. 'BREAKING' is doing a lot of heavy lifting here. Randomized trials first.
BREAKING! First-of-its-kind study: 197 cancer patients treated with compounded Ivermectin (25mg) + Mebendazole (250mg).
At 6 months:
• 84.4% saw clinical benefit
• 48.4% had tumor shrinkage or no evidence of disease
• 86.9% completed treatment, mild side effects

My money is on computational chemistry this year, especially after hearing how much laureates in Seoul were debating AI's role in science. Prediction of molecular interactions is already reshaping early drug discovery. Anyone else care to guess before the announcement?

Ich halte die Kritik an den 2045-Zielen für berechtigt. Aber der Hockey Stick wurde nicht als Fälschung entlarvt, sondern mehrfach unabhängig repliziert, etwa durch PAGES 2k. Diese beiden Debatten sollte man nicht vermischen.
Schlimmer noch. Mit der Annahme es gebe eine Klima Krise die durch Co2 verursacht sei. Allerdings wurde Herrn Manns hockey stick extrapolation bereits als Fälschung entlarvt. Es gibt kein richtiges Leben im Falschen, sagte mal ein kluger Mensch

Alert: Fungal endophthalmitis cluster reported, source under investigation.
A cluster of fungal endophthalmitis cases has been reported in patients who underwent cataract surgery between June 30 and Aug. 6 at a single facility. The source of the reported infections remains undetermined, but surgeons are being alerted to consider possible fungal infection for cases of unusual inflammation following cataract surgery.
Potential product-related and facility-specific sources remain under investigation.
