On the heels of the announcement that @alexandracooper raised at at $500M valuation, they are also shutting down the Unwell Beverage business. What makes some Creator led beverages more successful than others ? it’s clearly not their influence alone…it’s the partners they chose, talent collaboration and commitment and some killer business people determined to make it work for the long haul. @spittinchiclets and @pinkwhitney are the blueprint for this and the partnership with @EWineries E&J Gallo continue to be the #1 selling flavored vodka brand globally. @BizNasty2point0 @ryanwhitney6 @barstoolsports @JaneWallStreet

What's next for @JomboyMedia? Apparel. "That's my next big thing. I'm rebuilding our apparel business from the ground up right now," @JomboyMedia CEO Courtney Hirsch tells @GanunLester. Courtney & @Jomboy_ may not know much about launching apparel businesses, but they are both learning on the fly and hiring experts who have deep experience doing so. "My next thing is to really build a lifestyle apparel brand and go after the young men that want to wear something that represents @JomboyMedia, but also just baseball culture, and it's a really cool-looking product that the design stands on its own."

Courtney Hirsch, CEO @JomboyMedia talks to @GanunLester about scaling by building national brands and IP. "We took @TalkinYanks, which is still the number two baseball podcast in the world, and we took the success of that and built @TalkinBaseball_.  It was much easier to bring in these blue chip brands knowing that you're speaking to a national audience."

Commissioner Kim Ng of @theAUSLofficial & JaneWallStreet Executive Chair @GanunLester talk about the importance of social media in AUSL's growth story. "Social media is a huge part of the way that we are able to spread the word. So you're connecting to the college fan base organically because of these athletes who are now posting, the colleges are now posting, and they're posting about AUSL, and they're posting about the next step in these athletes' journey." - Commissioner Ng "I would even say 10 years ago when social media is arriving at our doorstep...athletes were not as quick to the platforms because they were athletes. But now you have a generation of young people who've grown up very comfortable with social media...they're a lot more comfortable just putting themselves out there." - @GanunLester

"As better content comes to FAST, more money comes to FAST," Cathy Rasenberger tells @GanunLester. "In the last six months, I would say the amount of live content on our 125 channels has doubled. We're seeing much better, bigger brands come to FAST. All the professional leagues now have a FAST channel and the amount of live content has increased dramatically. And that makes a difference because it's not necessarily the big brands that bring in the viewers, like the professional leagues, it's the live content."

JaneWallStreet Executive Chair @GanunLester tells the story of how The Corp with @AROD and @BarstoolBigCat came together @barstoolsports here on X / Twitter. "It was born out of the guys on @PardonMyTake, Big Cat really, almost tweeting out and making jokes like, 'What is A-Rod Corp? I want a job at A-Rod Corp.' And he started calling out like, 'I'm the VP of something at A-Rod Corp' and then Alex responded."  @_ARodCorp Chief Business Officer & @Timberwolves Chief Strategy Officer, Kelly Laferriere says the @MarthaStewart episode was her favorite.

Hearing many insights and insider feedback from @Cannes_Lions very focused on Creators this year. Is this really that new? Here’s a pic from 2015 with @DudePerfect guys. We had a great time but it does seem a bit ahead of it’s time. I remember people didn’t really understand back then. #creatorecomy @CoryCotton @CobyCotton @Codes87 @jnath @YouTube

This week JaneWallStreet host @GanunLester sits down with former CEO of @CBSNews, Stations, and Media Ventures, former President of @ABCStations, and current Advisor to @beehiiv and @MerzigoDigital, Wendy McMahon. The two discuss: - How to actually drive change inside a legacy media org (build the lab, protect it, then scale) - Why women's & Olympic sports should be called "emerging," not "non-revenue" - The art of bundling premium inventory - Why advertisers now chase loyal, niche communities over raw scale piped.video/a52p-vsEWRw?si=b6nO…

Yesterday’s news of @Roku being acquired by @FOXCorp is massive for the sports industry given the emphasis on @FOXSports and live sports. I wrote about the rise of sports content on FAST network and this deal will certainly accelerate that shift and lead to more premium monetization. johnwallstreet.com/p/as-view… @HowieLongShort @JaneWallStreet @ScrippsSports

ATHLOS’ biggest commercial advantage may be its flexibility. @athlos can connect brands directly with its athletes as part of large sponsorship packages. “What we've been able to do with brand partners is, because we built this league ourselves [and] don't have a CBA, we don't have layers to work through and a players' association to get to [a specific] athlete. A brand comes in and we say… ‘who do you want to go ahead and work with’. It's a little bit like a marketplace," Kayla tells @GanunLester. "It's a newer model, especially in brand sponsorships.”
