Your Excellency Alexander Lambsdorff, Thank you for beginning your mission with a visit to Yad Vashem. For us, especially those Jews who returned to Germany and Europe after the Shoah, and for our descendants, this place is far more than a memorial. Yad Vashem reminds us not only of the darkest chapter of our history, but also of what can happen when hatred is allowed to grow unchecked. At the same time, it teaches that only by standing together, protecting one another, defending truth can hope and light return to the horizon. As it is written: "Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid... for the L-rd your G-d is with you wherever you go." (Joshua 1:9) May your service help strengthen the bond between Germany, Israel, and the Jewish people. Am Yisrael Chai ✡️

Wir ziehen nur dann die Lehren aus dem deutschen Holocaust, wenn wir uns für das Völkerrecht und für die Wahrung der Menschenrechte einsetzen. Überall! Sie gelten für alle Menschen. Ob Christen, Moslems, Juden oder Atheisten. Israels Verbrechen gehören deshalb vor den IGH.

Your responsibility doesn't mean you have to accept you previous victim committing genocide, war crimes, crimes against humanity and human rights violations. Neither do you need to accept apartheid, ethnic cleansing, illegal occupation, torture, rape, murder and land theft.
