Why are Manchester United fans finding it so difficult to accept that Manchester City are a bigger club than them currently

Manchester City: 8
Manchester United: 1.
Revenue in 2024/25:
Manchester City: €829m (6th globally).
Manchester United: €793m (8th globally).
That's a €36m difference. We're outperforming them financially as well. Can you see the gap?
After seven Premier League games this season:
City: 1st, 21 points, +12 GD.
United: 13th, 7 points, 0 GD.
A 14 point difference after seven games.
Manchester United have never won four consecutive Premier League titles. Manchester City have done it, and United are currently struggling to string five consecutive league wins together.
At this point, this has to be one of the most forced debates in football. United fans are still presenting historical achievements as if they automatically settle every argument about the present.
Believe it or not, Manchester City are the biggest club in Manchester currently. The sooner you accept reality, the better.
