Apple Vision Pro team, I’m begging you: please give us a 1:1 screen recording option. Right now, recordings are essentially 16:9 and crop out the lower part of the experience, making it surprisingly hard to show spatial UI, hand interactions, and full context. More importantly, it hides the magic of seeing your real arms and hands naturally occlude virtual content so seamlessly that you stop noticing it. Please give creators and developers the framing they need to show what Vision Pro can do better than any other headset. @lindadong @settern @AndrewNWalker

I’ve already submitted feedback about this several times, through different channels, and I strongly encourage everyone to do the same. The more people report it, the better chance we have of getting Apple’s attention. Folks, you can send yours here: Apple Vision Pro feedback: apple.com/feedback/apple-vis… Apple Feedback Assistant, especially for developers and enhancement requests: developer.apple.com/feedback…

We always capture in square. It gives way better POV and formatting options. There are a lot of odd capture and audio issues in Vision Pro.

I really wish that as soon as I give someone my AVP in demo mode, that it instantly starts screen mirroring on my iPhone so I can guide and teach them. I've found that surprisingly flakey for the AVP, and wish it was more seamless. This is one thing the Meta Quest got right, and its much easier to demo that to others.

I would love this! Also would love to be able to capture both eyes so I can build spatial videos from the footage!

I've been asking Meta for this on Quest. VR headsets need a capture option that at least matches field of view. An M5 Vision Pro should be able to handle extra large screen recording. A Quest 3 should too, perhaps more compressed. Both could freeze action for 360 screenshots.
