A Haitian national has pleaded guilty to falsely claiming U.S. citizenship on two voter registration forms and illegally casting a ballot in the 2024 General Election. She pleaded guilty to two counts of making a false claim of citizenship in order to vote and one count of voting by an alien, and faces up to five years in federal prison. Federal election laws will be enforced. Those who deliberately violate them—including by falsely claiming U.S. citizenship and illegally voting—will be investigated and prosecuted.

Phoenix Angelo Monserrate, of Palm Beach Gardens, was sentenced Sept. 2 to 1,525.5 months in prison, that is the equivalent to approximately 127 years, for charges related to the sexual exploitation of a child. Monserrate will also be required to register as a sex offender.

ERO Miami is keeping our community safe
ICE REMOVES CUBAN INTEL AGENT WHO FRAUDULENTLY OBTAINED LAWFUL STATUS Cuban national and Guatemalan citizen Fernando Armando Valdes Perez infiltrated and reported on Cuban exile and dissident communities in Latin America and the United States as early as the mid-1990s. Valdes gained the trust and confidence of late anti-Castro dissident Luis Posada Carriles and remained close to other well-known Cuban and Cuban American figures in South Florida until his July 10 arrest by ICE @EROMiami the FBI and U.S. Customs and Border Protection. He was deported Aug. 7 after investigators determined he concealed his position and affiliation with the regime when he fraudulently applied for and obtained lawful status.
