Not a chance, for example, a federal judge would have pierced attorney-client privilege by citing the crime fraud exception in the documents case—as the equally corrupt Chief Judge Beryl Howell did in early 2023. Smith switched venues at the last minute to bring the first documents on June 8, 2023. He reportedly read grand jury transcripts to a FLA grand jury to secure the indictment. Dirty, dirty. Judge Cannon repeatedly pressed Smith’s prosecutors as to why the investigation was conducted in DC rather than FLA. They claimed it was easier because all the witnesses lived in DC. She even suggested at one point that Trump’s team had a solid abuse of grand jury case against Smith. This to me has always stood out as the biggest example of Smith’s unchecked and destructive power.

The pro-life premise is simple: it is wrong to intentionally end an innocent human life. The death penalty, self-defense, and just warfare do not target innocent life. In fact, they're necessary to protect it. So there's no contradiction unless the pro-life position is twisted into something like “killing is wrong, period, regardless of the circumstances.” But that's not the premise of the pro-life argument, and it's not a position anyone who actually cares about defending innocent life from violent threats would ever hold.
