This woman felt the need to make a point about people not craving "Jewish food". First, thank you for saying the quiet part out loud when trying to make this lazy case against Israelis. Second, if you don't like bagels, kubeh, Katz Deli, or any of the award-winning Israeli restaurants around the world, that's your own problem. More for us.

There is a restaurant here in Lexington that spent over a year in research and tasting trips to create the best, brick oven cooked bialy. Way better than whatever Kossar’s is selling these days. They already made the best bagels in town.

So, this must be why the first time I was invited to a bar mitzvah when I was 9 or 10 years old, my very Catholic mother said excitedly "you're gonna love the food!" I gave her a perplexed look and she said "Jewish food is so good." Turns out she was right.

Jewhaters are so dumb. Does she ever eat pizza or pasta with tomato sauce? 👇 Sephardic Jewish merchants and refugees fleeing the Spanish Inquisition played a significant role in bringing and popularizing tomatoes in Italy during the 16th century.

What a dumbass. There is a reason why chicken soup is called "Jewish penicillin." It's what many people ingest when they are sick with a cold or flu. Healthy and delicious. I asked Grok how many bagel shops there are in the US. 👇 I suspect there are as many Jewish delicatessens. About 18,810 locations as of April 2026 (Rentech Digital / SmartScraper). • About 22,102 locations as of August 2025 (POI Data)

I’ve actually heard many many many people in my life say they were craving Jewish food. And not just Jewish people! If she’s never been to a Jewish deli, too bad for her.

Part 2 I almost fell over laughing when I realized the Chinese staff at the office loved Jewish deli food …. (And they were well aware that Jews love Chinese food) they loved chopped liver!

She’s actually 100% WRONG. I used to be the ONLY white person (Jew) working in an office with about 10 office staff who were Chinese Immigrants to America. Whenever one had a birthday they got to choose lunch for the office. They ALWAYS wanted Jewish Deli food it was hysterical

Jews don't have good food . . . SO THEY DESERVE TO DIE!!! In all seriousness, isn't Israel ON the Mediterranean? So is calling Israeli food Mediterranean inaccurate???

also, ‘stealing from the region’. FFS. she clearly has never been ‘to the region’. No-one lays serious claim to anything specific in the region, but I do think we should settle all regional differences with a felafel-off, and a baklava final round.

My grandfather helped Jews escape Germany. He collected recipes from them. Whilst they ate tulip bulbs to stay alive, imagining the food they'd one day eat. Four generations & immigration to Aus and we still eat Matzoh soup all the time.

Bagels, Katz Deli (OMG pastrami), knishs, challah, hamentashen, brisket - Look, I am from NYC. That's 1/4 Jewish in every fat cell. The other 1/4 is Hunan Chinese food. Miss lady has no clue what she's talking about.

"Mediterranean" usually means Turkish or Greek anyway, so what does that say, that they're both "hiding" together? No one says "let's get Lebanese" they say "let's get Middle Eastern", so Lebanese are "just cosplaying cause they're fake"?

Rome has a very very specific jewish cuisine that is not hummus & veg (nothing against hummus & veg) that I crave. Also I constantly crave a pastrami sandwich with like 15 thick slices of meat and sweating weird orange cheese.

Funny. OP is wrong. I recently had (non-Jewish) visitors from Africa and they specifically asked for Jewish food. I took them to Katz and they were delighted from the moment the aroma hit them. They loved the pickles, which are very different from the ones they have at home.

Jews have lived in the Middle East for thousands of years and, as far as I know, have been eating food that whole time.

I wish there were more Jewish restaurants and bakeries in Germany. Jews have some pretty good food. Unfortunately our grandpartents killed most of them. And so most of their culture disappeared.

It's a typical game narcissists play where they accuse you of something rediculous to watch you stress yourself out trying to convince them otherwise. She wants all the Jews to comment defending their food and their culture while she gaslights them because it's a game.
