“land mexico lost to the united states”
as a student of latin america for over half a decade in university, im so fucking sick of mexicans, and really spics in general, not knowing their own fucking history
hmmm, how did mexico “lose” this land to the united states? well, there was this whole big deal called the mexican american war. the united states elected the most ridiculously based and still top 3 president of all time james k polk who is the only president to ever accomplish everything he set out to do, did it in a single term, and refused to run again.
he instigated a war with mexico that the united states won so ridiculously easily while begging mexico to “stop hitting yourself” because mexico kept declaring war on itself and its military leadership was so ineffective they could only beat ~250 americans in a fort once with well over 2000 men with the us casualties being those ~250 and mexican casualties being 1000-1600.
anyway, the us military casually walked down the length of mexico to mexico city from the north and demolished the forces of veracruz like it was a tuesday in a invasion from the gulf. the converged on the city and felt so bad for defeating mexico so hard that they STILL paid mexico for the land, especially as a way to try to maintain good will with mexico and so that they forfeit their claims to all the american southwest territories.
the most annoying part, however, is the idea that there were all these “mexicans” who were “crossed by the border” after the mexican american war. the population of the ENTIRE REGION when it was part of mexico was an almost entirely white texas of over 100k white americans, 50k spaniards in NM and AZ, and 6000 people in CA, NV, AND UT COMBINED. the rest of the territory was occupied by virtually completely autonomous amerindian groups with absolutely no connection to mexico.
so i rest my case. the entire idea of the “mexican southwest” is a recent invention by pan-latino university professors (plenty of whom i knew in university) who are largely anti white and are huge latino history historical revisionists. there never was a “mexican” southwest, as mexico virtually never made any effort to settle nor administrate the southwest in any way.
Southwest independence or reunification with the motherland 🇲🇽
