Quite the opposite Ambassador, it's a very rational action. Pretty simple really - if international law is being breached with such impunity, then it should be punished.
And fyi, the UK sanctions all three countries you mention. Almost 3500 designations on Russia alone.
"This is an irrational action... if the UK is really interested in dealing with issues they feel like are wrong, where are the sanctions against North Korea, China, Russia?"
