My understanding is that @jvplive put together a private, exclusive protest for celebrities and influencers to raise their profiles by getting arrested at. No notice was given to the public. Are we trying to stop the genocide or promote careers?

My friend joined the protest, but she was wearing a shirt with a resistance fighter on it that said “existence is resistance” and she was immediately told to remove it and then two more people showed up to escort her away from the action. JVP blocks mention of ‘resistance’

wow. that is interesting. I actually don't know too much about them, but i view them with suspicion. This certainly verifies that feeling.

FWIW, everyone in this JVP protest is wearing this one shirt. I understand how someone joining with another message undermines JVP's effort. It's fair to ask JVP's members about whether "existence is resistance" but it's an organized protest & your friend brought in another POV.

Resistance is another POV? We can all see that it looks very coordinated. My friend was riding her bike, saw people blocking the street ostensibly for Palestine and joined in. And you’re right they saw my friend in her “resistance” shirt as a problem. That’s not a good excuse.

Some people are cowards, it's a fact of life. They have no right to remove people from public protests. It's classic Jewish supremacy, and hypocrisy to do what they did.

My friend showed up at jail support later and ran into Indya Moore and handed her a resistance sticker. Indya responded with “I thought we're not supposed to talk about resistance.” Which confirms my first point about JVP’s avoidance of any messaging around resistance.
