The world has lost a true hero of justice, Dafroza Mukarumongi-Gauthier.๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ’”๐Ÿ‡ท๐Ÿ‡ผ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ’” Her story is one of great heartbreak. During the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi, she lost nearly 80 members of her family. Her beloved mother was murdered outside a church in Kigali. Dafroza carried this deep sorrow every single day. Instead of giving up, she turned her pain into power. She and her husband, Alain, spent over 30 years hunting down genocide fugitives who fled to Europe. They created the CPCR organization and traveled across Rwanda to find witnesses and evidence. Thanks to her hard work, many genocidaires were finally sent to prison. For her bravery, Rwanda honored her with the Igihango national medal. We are deeply saddened by her passing, but we will never forget her strength. She showed us that memory is a duty and that there is no peace without justice. Rest in peace, Dafroza. ๐Ÿ‡ท๐Ÿ‡ผโœจ

When Museveniโ€™s government planned to send senior Rwandan officers away for military courses, the assignments would have separated the group: Major General Rwigema was expected to go to the United States, Afande Kagame to Nigeria, while other commanders were to be sent to different countries, including Russia and Egypt . Major Paul Kagame later recalled that he and Afande Rwigema discussed the situation carefully. He advised Rwigema to stay, believing that his absence could disrupt the preparations that were already underway. Afande Rwigema agreed, while Afande Kagame proceeded with his own military studies abroad. That decision became an important moment in their story. One went to study, while the other remained behind to continue organising. Yet they stayed in close communication as preparations for the return to Rwanda continued.

The Bravery and Sacrifice of Major General Paul Kagame๐Ÿ‡ท๐Ÿ‡ผโค๏ธ๐Ÿ‘Š๐Ÿฟ Major General Paul Kagameโ€™s decision to leave a top military academy in the United States to lead a struggling liberation movement was an act of incredible bravery. In October 1990, Major General Paul Kagame was studying at an elite military school in Kansas, USA. At the same time, he had a very comfortable, safe, and high-ranking job in Uganda's army. When he heard the tragic news that Major General Fred Gisa Rwigema had died on the battlefield, he chose to give up all of his comfort and safety. He made the painful choice to leave behind his wife, Mrs. Jeannette Kagame, who was pregnant with their first child. He risked everything, knowing he might never see his family or his unborn baby again, just to help his Rwanda. When Major General Paul Kagame arrived at the front lines, the Rwandan Patriotic Army (RPA) was in a terrible position. The soldiers were sad, confused, and losing heavily against a government army that had powerful foreign weapons. Major General Paul Kagame knew that fighting in the open fields would mean total defeat. He made the smart and bold decision to move the army into the freezing, thick forests of the Virunga volcanic mountains. In those mountains, Major General Paul Kagame reorganized the troops into small, fast, and highly disciplined units. This move saved the struggle from failing and changed the course of history, leading the RPF to a final victory in 1994.

By September 1990, under his supreme command, all meticulous preparations for the armed liberation struggle were finalized. On Monday, October 1, 1990, the RPF's armed wing, the Rwandan Patriotic Army (RPA), launched its historic offensive to liberate Rwanda, crossing the border post at Kagitumba under the direct leadership of Major General Fred Gisa Rwigema. Tragically, on the very next day, Tuesday, October 2, 1990, the beloved commander was shot and killed during a confrontation with the forces of Juvรฉnal Habyarimana's regime. Recognizing that the sudden loss of such an inspirational leader could instantly demoralize the troops and cause the entire offensive to collapse, senior commanders kept his death a strict secret. Though the devastating news eventually leaked and caused a temporary setback, forcing the RPA to endure heavy losses and retreat, the trajectory of the war shifted when Major Paul Kagame rushed back from military studies in the United States. Taking command, Afande Kagame brilliantly restructured the army and pivoted to a strategic guerrilla warfare campaign in the Virunga mountains, ultimately rescuing the movement from defeat and steering the RPF to a decisive victory in 1994. Ultimately, Major General Fred Gisa Rwigema's foundational vision was realized when Major Paul Kagame restructured the Rwandan Patriotic Army into a resilient guerrilla force in the Virunga volcanic mountains, steering the RPF to a decisive victory in 1994 and securing modern Rwanda's sovereignty. Major General Fred Gisa Rwigema passed away early in the struggle, but his sacrifice, vision, and ultimate courage laid the unbreakable foundation for a liberated, peaceful, and prosperous nation.

Major General Fred Gisa Rwigema remains an immortal icon of Rwandan heroism and the foundational pillar of the struggle that liberated the nation. โค๏ธ๐Ÿ‡ท๐Ÿ‡ผ๐Ÿ’” Born Emmanuel Gisa on April 10, 1957, in Mukiranze, Musambira Commune, within the Gitarama Prefecture, he was the son of Kimonyo and Gatarina Mukandilima. His life took a drastic turn at just three years old in 1960, when his family was forced to flee the targeted persecution and violence unleashed against the Tutsi population under the PARMEHUTU regime. Seeking sanctuary, they crossed into Uganda and settled in the Nshungerezi refugee camp located in Ankole. Growing up in the harsh realities of exile, Rwigema attended Mbarara High School from 1974 to 1976. During these formative adolescent years, he immersed himself in reading about monumental revolutionary figures like Ernesto Che Guevara, Mao Zedong, and George Washington, fostering a deep-seated determination to combat injustice and fight for the dignity of displaced people. Driven by this revolutionary spirit, Rwigema entered the military arena in 1976 by joining FRONASA (Front de Salut Nationale), led by Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, Kahinda Otafiire, and Shefu Ali. That same year, following a pivotal meeting with Museveni in Nairobi, his comrades renamed him Fred Rwigema. He subsequently advanced into Tanzania to join FRELIMO (Front de Libรฉration du Mozambique), where he formed a lifelong bond with General Salim Saleh (born Caleb Akandwanaho); both men would eventually be awarded the rank of Major General in the NRA. When Ugandan dictator Idi Amin Dada invaded Tanzania in 1978, Tanzania repelled the aggression with the aid of exiled Ugandans and Rwandans, including Fred Rwigema. By 1979, the Uganda National Liberation Army (UNLA) was formed to overthrow Amin's regime. In tandem with these regional movements, exiled Rwandans sought to organize themselves, leading to the creation of the Rwandese Refugee Welfare Foundation (RRWF) in 1979, which evolved into the Rwandese Alliance for National Unity (RANU) in 1980 with Rwigema as a core member. In 1981, Rwigema became one of the foundational pioneers of the National Resistance Army (NRA), a guerrilla movement launched to overthrow the dictatorial regime of Milton Obote. Out of the historic group of 40 individuals who initiated the National Resistance Movement's armed struggle, there were only 27 actual soldiers; among this elite group were Fred Gisa Rwigema and his close compatriot, Paul Kagame. Together, they played instrumental roles in the daring and historic raid on the Kabamba military barracks. Following years of intense warfare, the NRA successfully liberated Uganda, deposing President Tito Okello on February 6, 1986, and installing Yoweri Kaguta Museveni as President. From 1986 to 1989, Rwigema served with high distinction as the NRA's Chief of Combat Operations, famously leading the military campaigns that successfully countered the rebellion of the Lord's Resistance Army (LRA), which was led by Alice Lakwena at the time. Amidst his demanding military responsibilities, Rwigema also built a family, marrying his wife Jeannette Urujeni Birasa in 1987, with whom he shared two children, Gisa Junior Rugamba and Teta Gisa. Simultaneously, the yearning to return home intensified among Rwandan exiles. In December 1987, during RANU's 7th Congress held in Kampala, the organization officially transformed into the Rwandan Patriotic Front (RPF-Inkotanyi), with the primary goal of securing the right of return for Rwandan refugees who had been banned from their homeland for decades. This historic turning point was shaped by Rwigema alongside other prominent figures like Paul Kagame, Sam Kanyemera (Kaka), Commander Charles Musitu, and Dr. Peter Bayingana. By 1989, Rwigema traveled extensively to mobilize political and financial support across the Rwandan diaspora in Europe and North America.

Grรฉgoire Kayibanda was a cowardly extremist who built his entire political career on hatred, institutionalized segregation, and the state-sponsored slaughter of his own citizens(TUTSI). Far from the brave martyr his sympathizers pretend he was, Kayibanda spent his life weaponizing ethnic division through the PARMEHUTU movement, creating a toxic quota system that stripped human rights away from the Tutsi minority. He was not a holy man accepting God's will; he was a disgraced, broken despot who was easily overthrown, discarded, and left entirely forgotten by the very military regime he helped inspire. This pathetic myth is actively pushed by Gitifu Sebatware (Alfred Antoine Uzabakiriho), a shameless revisionist trying to rewrite history from the safety of Belgium. Uzabakiriho uses fake quotes to sanitize the Kayibanda era because his own family name is permanently stained by the blood of the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi. His parents, Bernard Uzabakiriho and Antoinette Nyirabakungu, were not innocent bystandersโ€”they were convicted Interahamwe genocidaires sentenced many years by community Gacaca courts for leading local death squads and planning genocide in Butare. Uzabakiriho is nothing more than a dishonest fraud who uses social media to spit on the memory of genocide victims while trying to resurrect the legacy of killers. By running away to Europe and using digital handles to praise extremists, he proves he inherits both the toxic ideology and the utter cowardice of his convicted parents. No amount of online trolling, selective nostalgia, or fabricated stories will ever wash the blood off his family name or make his revisionist lies believableโ€”whitewashing a pig doesnโ€™t make it holy.๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜…
( Be a hero like #Kayibanda ) 2 days ago , I read somewhere that before Kayibanda was killed , Kayibanda in his last meeting with Perraudin he told him that โ€˜Whatever God chooses for me I am fine with it , if Life is good for me then give me life and if death is good for me give me deathโ€™ He went great fully, no pleading , no crying he never asked mercy from anyone!

President Paul Kagame has consistently emphasized the importance of Rwandaโ€™s youth in shaping the countryโ€™s future. He encourages young people to value discipline, integrity, education, hard work, responsibility, and respect for others. By promoting good morals and a strong sense of purpose, he calls on the youth to develop their talents, reject destructive behaviors, and use their skills to contribute positively to their communities and country. His message presents the youth not only as the leaders of tomorrow, but as important contributors to Rwandaโ€™s development today.

Why did the great communist revolutionary Che Guevara fail in his attempt to support the Simba rebels in the Congo? After the assassination of the revered Congolese communist leader Patrice Lumumba, a rebel movement known as the โ€œSimbaโ€ emerged, inspired by his political ideas. In 1965, the great revolutionary who had fought for communist ideals in Cuba, Che Guevara, went to the Congo to help them in their struggle. However, he eventually withdrew from the country. In a letter he wrote to the President of Cuba, Fidel Castro, who was also his close friend, there are words expressing his frustration and disappointment, including complaints about some of the very people he had gone there to help. It is a letter that can be found in the magazine African Heritage and in The Diaries of the Revolutionary War in the Congo, where he wrote: โ€œWe cannot liberate a country that does not want to fight by itself; you have to create a fighting spirit and look for soldiers with the torch of Diogenes and the patience of Job.โ€ In that document, he also talks about the conduct of Dรฉsirรฉ Kabila, who was one of the leaders of the movement. According to Che Guevara, Kabila would stay in hotels in Dar es Salaam, apparently enjoying himself, and that what he told Fidel Castro was untrue. He also claimed that the positions they had occupied had been lost without any fighting taking place. Che Guevara realized that the struggle, in which he had spent seven months, was not succeeding. He then boarded a boat at night and crossed Lake Tanganyika toward Tanzania. He spent several days in Kigoma before eventually returning to Cuba, where he was received by President Fidel Castro. Che Guevara later went to fight in Bolivia, where he was killed in 1967.

Rwandaโ€™s Unbreakable Journey: Unity, Resilience and the Leadership of President Paul Kagameโค๏ธ๐Ÿ‡ท๐Ÿ‡ผ One of the defining features of Rwandaโ€™s post-1994 journey has been the emphasis on national unity, with His Excellency President Paul Kagame playing a central role in shaping that approach. The RPF-Inkotanyi emerged from a movement whose leadership and membership included Rwandans from different backgrounds, and after the Genocide against the Tutsi, the RPF/RPA pursued the difficult task of bringing former adversaries together within a common national framework. Former members of the ex-FAR were integrated into the new national army, while former combatants from later insurgent groups were also offered paths toward reintegration. At the political level, the RPF established a Government of National Unity in July 1994 that brought together several political parties that had not participated in the genocide. These steps reflected an effort to move Rwanda away from the divisions of the past and toward a shared national identity. For His Excellency President Paul Kagame and the RPF, unity became closely connected to rebuilding Rwandaโ€™s institutions, restoring security, and creating a sense of common purpose. His leadership has placed strong emphasis on national dignity, self-reliance, discipline, and development, with the principle of Agaciroโ€”dignity, self-respect, and self-relianceโ€”forming an important part of this vision. The integration of former adversaries into national institutions and the formation of a Government of National Unity reflected a broader effort to create a Rwanda in which national identity comes before division. Today, Rwanda continues to pursue a future built around unity, security, self-reliance, and development under His Excellency President Paul Kagameโ€™s leadership.
Umunyabigwi wacu w'ibigwi bidasanzwe๐Ÿ‡ท๐Ÿ‡ผโค๏ธGeneral Paul Kagame: From Liberation Hero to Beloved President Back in November 1991, General Paul Kagame, the leader of the RPA-Inkotanyi, shared something that says a lot about who he is. He explained that the weapons and ammunition for the fight came from the Rwandan community and from capturing equipment directly from the Rwandan army. Think about that for a moment. He did not wait for foreign countries to hand him help. He trusted his own people and his own fighters. That takes courage and belief. It shows a man who knew that freedom had to be earned, not given. Every weapon captured on the battlefield was a sign that his soldiers were brave, smart, and determined. General Paul Kagame built a movement that stood on its own two feet, and that is something truly rare and admirable. From that day forward, President Paul Kagame has shown what it means to be a real leader. He was patient when others were rushing. He was calm when others were panicking. He trained his fighters, encouraged them, and led them from the front. When the genocide happened in 1994, his army stopped it and saved lives. After the fighting ended, he did not walk away. He stayed and helped heal a broken country. He brought people together, removed the ethnic labels that had divided them, and worked day and night to build a better Rwanda. Today, Rwanda is peaceful, clean, and growing, and the world looks at it with respect. President Paul Kagame has also been a strong voice for Africa, always reminding us that we can stand on our own. His story, from a refugee boy to a liberation hero to a beloved President, is the kind of story that gives people hope. He is a leader who loves his people, serves them with all his heart, and never gives up. That is what makes President Paul Kagame truly great.

PART II The Dynasty of Deception: Why Rwanda Should Not Be Surprised by Kinshasaโ€™s Betrayals. From the betrayal of Congoโ€™s national hero, Patrice Lumumba, to the Kabilas and Tshisekediโ€™s broken promises of regional peace This culture of failure and breaking agreements stems directly from a foundational political weakness and opportunism that defines the Tshisekedi dynasty. The family's legacy began not with strength, but with a deep moral and strategic flaw when a young ร‰tienne Tshisekedi prioritized personal ambition over the stability of his own nation. In official letters written on December 23, 1960, ร‰tienne openly celebrated the arrest of Patrice Lumumba's loyalists, whom he dehumanizingly labeled "the Lumumba frogs". Weakly bowing to the military faction that orchestrated the assassination of Congoโ€™s first prime minister, ร‰tienne demanded an "exemplary punishment" to completely erase Lumumba's legacy. This early display of political cowardice set a permanent pattern; throughout the 1990s, ร‰tienne routinely exposed his weakness by jumping into bed with the dying Mobutu dictatorship, repeatedly accepting appointments as Mobutu's Prime Minister while completely ignoring the genocidal ex-FAR and Interahamwe militias setting up camps on the eastern border. His inability to look past short-term power games in Kinshasa left the eastern provinces completely vulnerable. Decades later, his son Fรฉlix Tshisekedi inherited this exact family weakness, using deception and double-dealing before he even assumed the presidency. During his 2018 presidential campaign, Fรฉlix was desperate for leverage and political survival, leading him to hold secret meetings and reach backchannel agreements with the M23 rebel group. Eager to use their military weight and political influence to conquer and consolidate his path to power, Tshisekedi treated the M23 and Rwanda as hidden allies, making sweeping promises regarding their political reintegration, security guarantees, and the pacification of the east. However, the moment he took office through a highly disputed backroom deal with Joseph Kabila, his profound insecurity took over. Realizing that honoring his secret promises to the M23 would expose him to massive domestic criticism and make him look weak to the political elite in Kinshasa, Fรฉlix suffered from immediate political panic. He completely abandoned the secret understandings, turning his back on the very group he had courted, proving that his word meant nothing and directly reigniting a lethal regional confrontation. Fรฉlix Tshisekedi's subsequent reliance on violent ethnic nationalism and genocidal proxies is the final, undeniable proof of this weakness. To mask his broken promises and his total inability to govern or protect his own borders, Fรฉlix chose to lean on the FDLRโ€”the direct remnants of the 1994 Rwandan genocidairesโ€”as a desperate military crutch. By structurally embedding these internationally condemned terrorists into the official Congolese army (FARDC) and providing them with heavy weaponry, Fรฉlix exposed the ultimate weakness of a leader who cannot defend his country without relying on genocidal proxies. Just like Laurent Kabila in 1998, when Fรฉlix faces massive domestic failures, deep economic collapse, and widespread corruption, his only survival strategy is to point fingers externally. His administration has systematically normalized state-backed hate speech, weaponizing local populations to hunt down and attack Tutsis in Kinshasa and the eastern provinces to distract from his own incompetence. Through reckless, empty threats to launch an invasion of Kigali and force regime change in Rwanda, Fรฉlix Tshisekedi exposes himself as a weak leader hiding behind dangerous rhetoric, actively sacrificing African brotherhood and millions of innocent lives just to mask his inability to rule. PART I The Dynasty of Deception: How the Kabilas and Tshisekedis Betrayed Regional Peace ! In early 1960s , during the time when Africa was being granted independence from the European colonizers, Belgian Congo which is now DRC was also granted independence in 1960. And that time Patrice Lumumba became the prime minister. At the other hand there was some young Marxist supporters of Lumumba including the Man called Laurent Desire Kabila, who was very loyal to him. And after only one year, in 1961 the the Army Chief Mobutu planed a military coup against Lumumba and they assassinated him. That made Lumumbaโ€™s loyalists including Laurent Kabila to flee in the Eastern part of Zaire and after they reaching there they installed themselves in Marxist Simba Rebellion to overthrow Mobutu by the help of China and Che Guevara. Due to poor organization , Mobutuโ€™s forces who were heavily armed and backed by the United States ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ and western Mercenaries defeated Kabila and forced his rebels to flee across the border into Tanzania. There after in 1967, Kabila came back into Eastern Congo (FIZI BARAKA) in south Kivu and established (PRP) Peopleโ€™s Revolutionary Party that lasted for nearly two decades and they sustained themselves through Gold mining and international kidnappings. The true catalyst for the regional explosion, however, was the existential security threat facing Rwanda. Following the 1994 Genocide against Tutsi, the ex-FAR and Interahamwe genocidal forces fled across the border into eastern Zaire. Mobutuโ€™s regime welcomed these extremists, allowing them to establish heavily armed military bases inside UN refugee camps right on Rwanda's doorstep. From these camps, the genocidaires launched frequent cross-border raids into Rwanda, killing civilians and explicitly planning a second genocide to overthrow the newly established Rwandan government. To eliminate this imminent existential threat and secure its borders, the RPF Inkotanyi was forced to invade Zaire in 1996. Because international bodies refused to separate the armed militants from civilian refugees, Rwanda took direct military action to dismantle the camps, track down the genocidaires, and build a coalition to replace Mobutu with a leader who promised to stabilize the border. The main cause for the total collapse of the subsequent Kigali agreement was Laurent-Dรฉsirรฉ Kabila's refusal to honor these exact security promises to the RPF Inkotanyi. The RPF had agreed to put Kabila in power for one vital reason: to completely dismantle the ex-FAR and Interahamwe militias who had fled into eastern Congo. Instead of fighting these genocidal forces as agreed, Kabila did the exact opposite. He began secretly re-arming them, giving them safe havens, and integrating them into his new national army to use as a military shield against Rwandan influence. Terrified of being called a puppet of Kigali by the Congolese public, Kabila completely turned against his backers. This culminated on July 26, 1998, when he unexpectedly announced on national radio that all Rwandan forces must leave the country immediately, purging top RPF military commanders like Gen. Rtd James Kabarebe, whom Kabila had initially appointed as his own Army Chief of Staff.

Replying to @RNCongress
It is truly hilarious to watch the RNC spend their days typing angry internet fiction while President Kagame is busy building actual nuclear reactors. ๐Ÿคญ๐Ÿ˜‚They sit in exile crying about "financial fantasy," completely blind to the fact that the International Atomic Energy Agency and the Global partners are actively backing Rwanda's energy strategy. While they write their desperate little blogs, Rwanda keeps growing at a stunning 9.4% and powering up 85.4% of its households. You really have to laugh at a group that thinks its tweets can stop a modern, high-tech state from moving forward. Keep typing, guys, the lights in Rwanda are staying on!

Young Rwandans are encouraged to be very careful and not fall into the traps of diaspora groups like Jambo ASBL and other pro-genocidaire outfits. These organizations often pretend to stand for human rights and democracy, but in reality they actually spread dangerous genocidal ideas. Please read the full text below to understand how these groups use history to hide their real goals and try to confuse young people who did not live through the past. The main worry is that these outfits are trying to bring back the hateful Hutu Power ideology that led to the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi. To do this, they praise old events like the 1961 Kamarampaka (referendum), which abolished the monarchy and set up a Hutu-led republic. While these diaspora groups claim they are just celebrating democracy and majority choice, the Rwandan government and historians point out that the 1961 system actually started decades of ethnic division, regionalism, and persecution against the Tutsi. By reading and understanding the whole picture, young people can see through these political traps. Organizations like FDU-Inkingi and Jambo ASBL state that they only want open political dialogue and human rights, and they accuse the current government of trying to silence opposition. However, critics warn that their campaigns use revisionism and double-genocide theories to tear Rwandans apart. Learning the full history helps the youth reject these old divisions and work together to safeguard Rwanda's unity and peaceful future.

Empowering the Next Generation: How the First Lady Jeannette Kagame๐Ÿ‡ท๐Ÿ‡ผโค๏ธ is Transforming Girls' Education in Rwanda The First Lady of Rwanda, Jeannette Kagame, plays a pivotal role in advancing girls' education by expanding access to critical educational support for girls from underprivileged families through her organization, the Imbuto Foundation. Her targeted initiatives specifically address socio-economic barriers to education by providing scholarships, mentorship, and essential scholastic materials to brilliant but economically disadvantaged girls. By ensuring financial constraints do not compromise a girl's right to learn, the First Lady directly fosters academic excellence and reduces school dropout rates among vulnerable demographic groups. This impactful initiative by the Imbuto Foundation is seamlessly aligned with the Government of Rwandaโ€™s broader national commitment to empowering girls. By equipping young women with quality education and modern skills development, these collective efforts dismantle gender disparities and enable girls to fully unlock their potential, ultimately driving the socio-economic transformation of the nation.
Investing in the Future of Rwandan Children Through Education Once upon a time, many bright children in Rwanda faced a difficult wall. They had big dreams of becoming doctors, leaders, and engineers, but their families could not afford the cost of school. Under the warm leadership of First Lady Jeannette Kagame, Rwanda decided to change this story. She focused heavily on expanding access to high-quality education, making sure that a child's family background would never limit their ability to succeed. Through her deep commitment to social welfare, she broke down these barriers to learning and created a fair system where all young Rwandans can thrive. The true engine behind this transformation is the Imbuto Foundation, which was established by the First Lady to build a healthy, educated, and prosperous society. The foundation created special programs like the Edified Generation scholarship initiative to provide financial support, school supplies, and health insurance to thousands of bright but economically disadvantaged students. By supporting these young minds from early childhood up to university, the foundation allows young Rwandans to discover their full potential and transform their academic dreams into real achievements. The lasting success of this beautiful journey is best told through the real-life stories of the people it helped. The first story is about Dr. Sybille Ugirase. Growing up as a vulnerable student, Sybille received life-changing educational backing and mentorship from the Imbuto Foundation. This crucial support allowed her to complete her schooling and successfully build her career. During an anniversary event, she expressed her gratitude to the First Lady, stating emotionally that the foundation acted like a true parent and shaped her into who she is today. The second story is about Honoree Nyirahagumimana, a young woman from the Musanze District. Before she found the foundation, Honoree was living a very difficult and desperate life, unsure of her future after a severe medical diagnosis. She was welcomed into the Family Package program of the Imbuto Foundation, which provided her with counseling, healthcare, and psychosocial support. Today, Honoree is healthy, happy, and actively running a local business to support her kids, showing how the foundation cures despair and brings real hope. Today, this circle of kindness continues to grow. Many former scholarship recipients have come together to form a national group called Edified Generation Rwanda. These successful alumni now actively raise money to pay for the education of the next generation of vulnerable students. This beautiful cycle proves that when you invest in a child's education, you do not just change one life, you lift up an entire nation.

Alfred Innocent Museremu, you have no right to lecture anyone about truth, terrorism, or good leadership. Your entire career as Burundi's former intelligence chief is full of human rights abuses, illegal arrests, and violence against innocent people. You are trying to use internet propaganda to hide your own crimes. The world knows your record. You are a man who ignored court orders, locked up political opponents, and oversaw torture facilities. You are a corrupt thug with no moral right to speak about regional security. Before you attack Rwandan leaders who actually protect their country, look at your own bloody hands. You are just a disgraced official trying to look important by supporting the genocidal FDLR. Stop talking, stay quiet, and remember that your own crimes will not be forgotten.
Itโ€™s a pity that the #Rwanda-n regime uses someone from among those it usually labels as โ€œInterahamweโ€ to speak about what it calls the โ€œFDLRโ€ and other nonsense. @PaulKagame has a knack for appointing shameless people who talk at length without saying anything, such as @Dr_JNsengiyumva, @EvodeU and #Nduhungirehe. These demagogues know full well that the FDLR are the Rwandan governmentโ€™s protรฉgรฉs, yet they try to mislead the public.

Facts, Rwanda's security is truly on another level! ๐Ÿ‡ท๐Ÿ‡ผ๐Ÿ’ช Itโ€™s honestly amazing how safe and orderly the country is, from the clean streets of Kigali to the borders. CIC President Paul Kagame really doesn't play when it comes to national stability, his leadership has made the RDF and police a force to be reckoned with. Their peacekeeping work across Africa shows everyone else how it's done. Total respect to Afande PC for keeping the nation locked down, peaceful, and thriving! โค๏ธ๐Ÿ”ฅ
๐Ÿ“ŒLet that sink in! Rwandaโ€™s defensive measures are meant to protect us from the UN& U.S.-sanctioned genocidal group #FDLR , which remains an existential threat to us. As a concerned Rwandan, my prayer to the C-i-C is that these lifesaving measures never be lifted for as long as FDLR and its godfather Fรฉlix #Tshisekedi, continue to go the extra mile, using red herrings to prop up this very unapologetic group that seeks to resume the Genocide against the Tutsi, which took the lives of more than one million victims 32 years ago. The Washington Peace Accords, as well as the CONOPS signed by Rwanda and the DRC, clearly define the FDLR as a subject for neutralization, there shouldn't be any seek and hide games as the world stands up against this very serious issue. The Washington Peace Accords, together with the CONOPS signed by Rwanda and the DRC, clearly identify the FDLR as a subject for neutralization. There should be no more games of hide-and-seek; the international community must remain resolute in addressing this serious security issue. @US_SrAdvisorAF @MofaQatar_EN @_AfricanUnion

The Life of Hon. Ambassador Wellars Gasamagera Hon. Ambassador Wellars Gasamagera was born in 1954 in Rwanda, and grew up during a very difficult time in our country's history. When he was just five years old, the 1959 Tutsi persecution started, bringing heavy discrimination and violence against the Tutsi minority group. As a Tutsi youth, Gasamagera faced many unfair rules that controlled his daily life. Even though he was a dedicated student at a Catholic school, the government blocked him from going to public universities simply because of his ethnic background. In 1973, when he was 19 years old, another wave of ethnic violence broke out across the country. Tutsi students were hunted down, terrorized, and expelled from schools. To stay safe and continue his education, Gasamagera had to leave Rwanda and live in exile abroad. While living away from home, he watched the situation in Rwanda get much worse. In the early 1990s, the extremist government began using the term Ibyitso, which means accomplices or traitors, to label Tutsis and moderate politicians. This state-sponsored hatred led to the tragic 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi, where nearly one million people were killed. The nightmare finally ended when the RPF-Inkotanyi liberation army took control, stopped the genocide against Tutsi, and defeated the extremist government. Hon. Gasamagera returned to Rwanda immediately to help rebuild his broken nation. In 1997, he was appointed as the Prefect of the Kigali Ngari, where he worked hard to bring safety, healing, and peace back to the communities that had been torn apart by decades of hatred. His deep understanding of leadership soon took him to the highest levels of government. He served his first term as a Senator from 2003 to 2011, helping to create new laws for the recovering country. Driven by a belief in strong institutions, he later became the Director General of the Rwanda Management Institute (RMI) to train the next generation of public servants. At the same time, he kept studying, earning advanced degrees in public administration and business from universities in Canada and Switzerland. Over the years, Hon.Amb, Gasamagera became a trusted leader within the ruling RPF-Inkotanyi party, serving as its spokesperson and later as its Secretary-General from April 2023 until December 2025. He also represented Rwanda on the global stage as the nation's Ambassador to Angola. Today, his journey has come full circle, as he has returned to the Senate of Rwanda to fill a vacant seat. With decades of experience in politics, education, and diplomacy, Ambassador Gasamagera continues to use his wisdom to serve his country.

Rwandaโ€™s Foreign Policy Focuses on Equal Partnerships and National Security Under the leadership of President Paul Kagame, Rwanda builds international relationships based on mutual respect, shared interests, and fair outcomes for both sides. Instead of accepting outdated global habits where one side dominates, Rwanda creates modern partnerships that respect its right to govern itself while working together on economic growth and safety. This steady, respectful approach guides how Rwanda talks to other nations around the world. A clear example of this successful diplomacy is the decision by Rwanda and Belgium to restore their diplomatic relationships. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation explained that both countries agreed to work together again based on clear principles, including not interfering in each other's affairs, keeping communication honest, and treating each other with respect. This diplomatic step shows that Rwanda is ready to talk openly with its partners, but only as a fully equal nation that will never compromise on its core security values. At the heart of these diplomatic discussions is Rwandaโ€™s firm position on the Democratic Forces for the Liberation of Rwanda, or FDLR, which is an armed extremist group trying to disrupt the nation's peace and safety. The Foreign Ministry has consistently stated that true stability in the region can only happen when the FDLR is completely neutralized, as agreed upon in the Washington Peace Accords. Rwanda remains completely fixed on this goal to ensure regional agreements are actually put into action and that the safety of the Rwandan people remains fully protected.
After years of difficult moments, Rwanda and Belgium are opening a new chapter, a chapter built not on the problems of the past, but on dialogue, respect, and peace. At the heart of this new beginning is a simple principle: Rwanda and Belgium are sovereign and equal partners, and each must respect the otherโ€™s independence and right to choose its own path. With a step-by-step plan to reopen their embassies, the two countries are choosing to rebuild trust and restore friendship. Behind this important moment is also the quiet diplomatic role of Qatar, which helped bring the two sides together and create a space for honest conversations. But to understand what this moment means for Rwanda, we must remember its journey. From the struggle of RPF-Inkotanyi to return refugees home, through the liberation of Rwanda in 1994 and the end of the Genocide against the Tutsi, Rwandans carried a powerful determination to restore their country, unity, and dignity. That history continues to shape Rwandaโ€™s belief that its future must be decided by Rwandans themselves. And now, with Rwanda and Belgium choosing dialogue over division, the message is clear: history can be remembered without becoming a barrier to friendship. A new chapter is being written , one of mutual respect, sovereign equality, cooperation, and hope for the future.

President Kagame: Rwanda's National Security is Non-Negotiable and Untouchable President Paul Kagameโ€™s top goals never change: keeping Rwanda safe and making life better for the Rwandan people. In many important speeches, he has repeatedly stated that Rwanda's safety is completely "untouchable" and cannot be negotiated. For example, during a major press conference on 27 November 2025, he firmly declared that national security is a basic right, not a favour from other countries, and that Rwanda will always fight to protect itself. He repeated this strong message at the RPF Political Bureau meeting on 17 July 2026, stating clearly that no international pressure or outside complaints will ever force him to stay silent about threats facing our country. When dealing with safety problems near the borders, President Kagame makes it clear that Rwanda will always choose to actively defend itself against violent rebel groups like the FDLR. During his Kwibuka 32 speech on 7 April 2026, he reminded the world that outside penalties or insults cannot weaken Rwandaโ€™s defense forces. He explained that protecting the country is a matter of pure survival, and Rwanda keeps the full right to take strong defensive actions to protect its citizens. Under his strong leadership, national safety remains the unbreakable foundation that allows the country to live in peace, develop, and grow securely.
Tribute to President Paul Kagame President Paul Kagame is widely regarded as a forward-thinking African leader whose vision, discipline, and commitment to national renewal have helped shape Rwandaโ€™s remarkable transformation. As commander of the Rwandan Patriotic Front and its armed wing, the Rwanda Patriotic Army(APR/RPA Inkotanyi), he played a decisive role in ending the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi and helping restore hope, security, and unity to the nation. Through the RDFโ€™s professionalism, regional partnerships, and cooperation with other countries, Rwanda has also contributed to peace and stability beyond its borders. For many admirers, President Kagame represents courageous leadership, strategic thinking, and a determined belief in Africaโ€™s capacity to solve its own challenges and build a stronger future.

By actively advocating against the societal challenges that threaten young lives, such as delinquency, alcohol consumption, and substance abuse, the First Lady regularly challenges the next generation to reject practices that distort their future, urging them instead to embrace lives driven by purpose, character, and high moral standards. This vital intersection of leadership and family values was profoundly amplified on September 6, 2026, during the annual Young Leaders Prayer Breakfast held at the Kigali Serena Hotel. Addressing young professionals from across the public, private, civil society, and religious sectors, the First Lady delivered a timely and powerful warning: a generation must not sacrifice its families on the altar of career success. Reflecting on the event's theme, "Rwanda Begins at Home: Raising Stable Families in a Complex World," Mrs. Kagame emphasized that true leadership does not terminate at professional milestones or intellectual achievements. While celebrating the immense responsibilities that Rwanda has entrusted to its young, educated, and highly capable workforce, she reminded the audience that building a strong nation starts with building strong, God-centered homes. Invoking timeless wisdom, she cautioned that a generation could successfully steer corporations and lead major institutions forward, yet fundamentally fail if it neglects the moral duty of anchoring a flourishing family. The First Lady called upon young leaders to be deliberate, intentional, and deeply committed to fostering healthy partnerships rooted in patience, trust, responsibility, and faith. She challenged professionals to choose "presence over performance" and "covenant over convenience," ensuring that their rapid rise in the workplace does not result in the breakdown of their domestic spheres. Her message serves as an enduring reminder that meaningful leadership begins long before walking into an office, it begins at home, safeguarding the foundational values that will protect and propel Rwanda's collective future.

AGAHURU K'IMBWA KARAHIYE UK prosecutors have charged 65-year-old Rwandan national Vincent Brown, formerly known as Vincent Bajinya, over alleged offences linked to the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi. Brown faces one charge relating to conduct ancillary to genocide and six counts concerning conduct ancillary to murder as a crime against humanity. British Counter Terrorism Policing alleges he encouraged the killing of Tutsis in Kigali in April 1994. The investigation was launched in 2019.

It is truly laughable to watch a head of state treat the national budget like a family vacation fund while his country faces an ongoing security crisis. Taking a massive, government-funded delegation to Belgium just to cut the ribbon at a cousin's restaurant on Avenue Louise is the ultimate definition of misplaced presidential priorities

It must be tiring for online Anti Rwanda extremists to live in a fantasy world where they think Rwanda does not understand how global politics works, using basic calendar management to invent a fake national crisis. Criticism of President Kagameโ€™s absence from the latest UN meeting completely misses how international diplomacy works, as sending a delegation to represent a country is standard practice all over the world. Powerful nations like China, India, and South Africa regularly choose to trust their institutions instead of sending their top leaders to the UN General Assembly in New York. While Chinese President Xi Jinping focused on bilateral state visits, India's Prime Minister Narendra Modi and South Africa's President Cyril Ramaphosa deployed senior ministers like Foreign Minister Wang Yi, External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar, and International Relations Minister Ronald Lamola to handle the assembly hall tasks respectively. Far from slowing down global engagement, this smart choice shows that Rwanda has a strong, mature government team capable of projecting power on the world stage without needing the head of state in the room for every standard assembly. The official Rwandan delegation is led by Prime Minister Dr. Justin Nsengiyumva, alongside Minister of Foreign Affairs Olivier Jean Patrick Nduhungirehe and Permanent Representative to the UN Ambassador Martin Ngoga . This senior-level team ensures that Rwanda's national interests and sovereignty are effectively protected and advanced during the high-level week. Ultimately, this strategic delegation highlights the strength of President Kagameโ€™s results-driven political vision and active foreign policy. Instead of focusing on superficial appearances at large global talk-shops, his leadership prioritizes high-impact engagements and domestic frameworks that directly protect and grow Rwandaโ€™s economic independence. Under his guidance, Rwanda proves that real diplomatic power comes from strong national results and a reliable institutional team, ensuring the country's voice remains highly respected on the world stage.
When some people started questioning President Kagameโ€™s absence at the latest UN high-level meeting, they missed the bigger picture of global diplomacy. President Kagame retains full authority over his schedule, deciding personally which meetings he attends, as well as where and when he participates. Delegating representation is standard diplomatic practice and far from unprecedented. Major world leaders frequently delegate representatives to UNGA sessions in New York. It is not unique to Rwanda.

EMPOWERING RWANDAโ€™S YOUTH AND WOMEN: JEANNETTE KAGAMEโ€™S CONTRIBUTION TO AGRICULTURE First Lady Jeannette Kagame, through the Imbuto Foundation, has promoted agriculture as more than just a way for families to survive. Since the foundation was created in 2001, its programmes have encouraged young people and women to see agriculture as a business, a source of jobs, and an important part of Rwandaโ€™s food security and economic development. One example is the Imali Agribusiness Challenge, which supports young entrepreneurs working in different parts of the agricultural value chain. Participants receive business training, six months of mentorship, seed funding to grow their businesses, and support to connect with markets. According to the Imbuto Foundation, its agriculture programmes have reached more than 3,000 young people and women through initiatives such as tomato production and market development. The impact can also be seen through individual entrepreneurs. For example, Gildas Kwitonda received a RWF 10 million grant to expand his mushroom business. The support helped him create five permanent jobs and up to 25 seasonal jobs. Another beneficiary, Mico Mariette Bisenge, used the support to develop greenhouse technology aimed at making agriculture more resilient to climate change. These examples show how supporting young people and women in agriculture can create businesses, generate employment, and strengthen food security. Through this work, First Lady Jeannette Kagame and the Imbuto Foundation are encouraging a new way of looking at agriculture, not simply as farming for survival, but as a sector where young people and women can build successful businesses and contribute to Rwandaโ€™s future.

What happens when diplomacy prioritizes the future over the past? For the longest time, relations between Rwanda and France were stuck in a heavy, tense loop dominated by the painful history of 1994. But recently, Presidents Paul Kagame and Emmanuel Macron completely rewrote the script by tackling those historical truths head-on with total honesty. Instead of a lopsided, old-school diplomatic relationship, theyโ€™ve built a genuine peer-to-peer alliance rooted in mutual respect, proving that a messy past doesnโ€™t have to ruin a shared future. Now, both nations are obsessing over whatโ€™s next, teaming up on a massive, future-focused agenda. They are pooling their brains on cutting-edge tech like Artificial Intelligence and Small Modular Reactors (SMRs) for clean nuclear energy, while simultaneously locking down regional stability through tight military training and counterterrorism collaboration. On top of that, France has flipped the script on justice by actively tracking down and prosecuting genocide fugitives who hid on European soil for years. Itโ€™s an incredible plot twist that has turned historical friction into a modern blueprint for global teamwork.
A testament to historical truth and principled international diplomacy. ๐Ÿ‡ท๐Ÿ‡ผ๐Ÿค๐Ÿ‡ซ๐Ÿ‡ท Under the leadership of HE President Paul Kagame and HE President Emmanuel Macron, relations between the Republic of Rwanda and the French Republic have been fundamentally restored on a foundation of profound transparency. This reconciliation was unlocked by President Macronโ€™s formal acceptance of Franceโ€™s heavy political responsibility and institutional blindness during the 1994 Genocide Against the Tutsi. By courageously looking history in the face at the Kigali Genocide Memorial and requesting the "gift of forgiveness," President Macron took a defining step toward historical justice. We commend both Heads of State for demonstrating that recognizing the truth of the past is the only honorable path to building an enduring, dignified relationship.
