I don’t get how these are the core of any persons development. There are so many ways in which you can offer your child a resilient and disciplined mindset, I don’t think making them struggle for it has to be part of the experience.

According to Reuters, Wafaa Akila was killed earlier this month by an Israeli airstrike.

TDKR is an Elseworlds story & you can suspend your disbelief that Superman would be a bit of a lapdog, you can adjust your understanding of his past to compensate for his behaviour in the comic & the animated movie...
But BvS isn't supposed to be "Elseworlds" It was within the mainline continuity of the connected cinematic universe they were building. They literally had to BUTCHER Batman & Superman to make the story work because Zack was DESPERATE to force these story beats in & it LITERALLY broke not just the movie, but the characters from that point onwards.
Frank Miller didn’t understand Superman to save his life. He outright made Superman a government lapdog who didn‘t even question any intent meanwhile Superman has stood up against world governments for human atrocities they have committed or have allowed to pass.
