Why I Still Like #Micron I've discussed $MU on Making Money with Charles Payne @cvpayne a couple of times this year, and despite the stock's significant run, I continue to like the opportunity. At roughly 6.5x earnings, Micron is trading as though we're at peak earnings. I don't believe that's the case. I think we're seeing a real structural change in demand. New capacity isn't expected to come online until late 2027, while contracts are increasingly being booked at three to five years out, with take or pay clauses. By 2030, roughly 35% of Micron's contracts are already locked in, providing significant revenue visibility. Demand is huge, and there are structural constraints around bringing new capacity online. That's why Micron (MU) remains a name I really like. #Investing #WealthManagement #PortfolioManagement #ArtificialIntelligence #Semiconductors #MU

D.A. Davidson expects $MU to nearly triple to $3,000 saying “If you don’t buy it, they will” as memory stays tight through 2027 and 2028. The interesting part is they see de-specing as bullish because customers cutting memory to ship more systems today can create even more demand later when they try to restore performance. The note basically argues Micron will stop trading like a normal memory cycle and rerate toward ~20x earnings as long-term agreements spread across $AMZN, $MSFT, $GOOGL, $NVDA and $AAPL.

OCTOBER 7, 2023: SHE KNEW SHE WAS GOING TO DIE. Libi Cohen-Meguri, a 22-year-old infantry officer, went to the Nova music festival. She was shot while fleeing the party. At 8:11 a.m., she called her parents and said: “I’ve been shot in the stomach, I’ve been shot in the arm, I’m losing blood. I’m going to die.” Calmly, quietly, she understood; these were the last minutes of her life. She asked her parents to call Tomer, her twin brother, and Maya, her little sister, and said: “I’m going to die. I just want you to listen to me. I love you, Yariv. You’re the best father I could have asked for. Mom, stop screaming. Just listen to me. You are the best mother we could have ever had. Don’t forget to be a good mother to Tomer and Maya after I die. Tomer, how lucky we were to live this life together. I love you. My Maya, never forget—you are the treasure of my life.” When she finished speaking, her parents told her to get out of the car, lie down on the road, and pretend to be dead. With her last bit of strength, she got out of the car and laid down on the road. “Mom, they’re coming to shoot me again,” Libi said after lying down. While her mother listened on the phone, shouts in Arabic could be heard, and then a barrage of gunfire. It didn’t stop. It kept going, until the call was disconnected. And that’s how Libi died—with demonic beasts from the pit of hell standing over her and emptying a full magazine into her body. Libi died with LOVE on her lips: love for life, love for her family, and love for her people. Her memory will forever be a blessing. NEVER FORGET. NEVER FORGIVE. NEVER AGAIN IS NOW. Israel is hunting down every single Palestinian and Hamas terrorist who participated in the October 7th Massacre—to kill them all. They’re living on “borrowed time,” Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said. Sooner or later, every one of these monsters will be found and eliminated.

If you’re a memory investor and were confused about today’s selloff on $MU $SKHY or $SNDK This is a must read report from Cantor that explains it. Toshiba’s plans to double EB, SSD, NAND capacity by FY27 which supposedly “impact” pricing power is a buying opportunity. LIMIT UP!

Zuckerberg dropped out and still says the useful part of college was not the classes. He met Priscilla there. He met people who are still in his life. The lectures were fine, he says. Entertaining. The point was leaving home and learning how to be around other adults. He had already done two years of boarding school, then two years of college, and left. Then the part that is not nostalgia. College is expensive. You finish in debt. You are not guaranteed a job. If it is not preparing you for the work, you start in a hole. Saying not everyone needs the degree used to be taboo. He thinks that taboo is thinner than it was ten years ago.

All year @sonusvarghese has said we are in a period of inflationary growth. Higher yields, higher inflation, a solid economy, and another strong year for stocks. Playing out well so far. Here is what he sees now 👇👇

Completely agree. We might consolidate sideways but the world is in the 4IR and it’ll be a much different place as we continue to build out.
$NBIS $MU $SNDK $LITE $AAOI China is on track to use roughly 64,000 trillion inference tokens this year. The projection for 2030 is about 3.85 million trillion, which is close to 60x in four years, or nearly a tripling every single year until the end of the decade. Consumption more than triples in 2027, more than triples again in 2028, and then still doubles in each of the following two years off a base that is already enormous. The jump from 2029 to 2030 alone adds about 30 times what the whole country is consuming today. It leaves out the US hyperscalers, the model labs, Europe, the Gulf buildouts and every sovereign program being announced right now. Tokens are the unit that everything else follows. Each one needs a chip to compute it, memory to hold the model and its context, and optics to move the data, so a 60x increase in tokens pulls on every layer of the stack at once. People keep asking me when AI demand peaks, I rather they draw their own conclusion. Look at the bar for 2026, now look back at me. Exactly ⚡️

*J.P. MORGAN: MEMORY MARKET TIGHTNESS EXTENDS THROUGH CY28 AS MICRON 4QFY26 READ-THROUGH SHOWS NO LINE OF SIGHT TO SUPPLY BALANCE J.P. Morgan's latest Memory Market Update highlights extending structural supply demand tightness through CY28 following $MU earnings call, with customer order discussions expanding out to 2031. Micron management expects market conditions to be even tighter in 27/28 than in 26, pointing to cleanroom capacity shortages and projected industry DRAM/NAND bit shipment growth capped at low to mid 20% ranges against compounding hyperscaler demand. HBM bit shipments are projected to outpace conventional DRAM growth through CY28 (+63% vs. +37% for non HBM server DRAM), reinforcing that advanced packaging bottlenecks and memory supply constraints remain a central bottleneck for global AI infrastructure scaling.

I had the chance to check out J.P. Morgan's latest Memory Market Update and it only made me more bullish on $MU and $SNDK. Memory bears are running out of years to be right. Micron now sees supply tighter in 2027 and 2028 than in 2026, with no line of sight to balance. Demand keeps outgrowing supply, and there aren't enough cleanrooms to close the gap. Look at what customers are signing. Micron went from 16 long-term supply agreements to 26 in a single quarter, with order visibility now reaching 2031. Prepayments climbed to $32B from $22B, the contracted backlog sits at $150B, and about 75% of 2027 output is already locked in. HBM is even tighter. 2027 supply is sold out with prices up 54% y/y, and bit demand is growing 63% against 37% for the rest of server memory. This goes well beyond Micron. Samsung has 60 to 70% of its plant capacity under contract and SK Hynix is signing five-year terms. You only prepay $32B years ahead when the bigger risk is ending up with no supply. Cycles end when supply catches up, and right now nobody in this industry can tell you when that happens. Bullish memory ⚡️
