New Era: was post modernism, and even post post post modernism. But now it’s the first time in history western progress is seen as a necessary return to something. Progressivists did this by inevitably going absolutist. But what is this necessary something? And, what is the name of the new era? The necessary something: that which was overlooked when the welcomed self contradiction started the last era: the return of Arianism by way of modern epistemology. That’s why it has ended in self contradictory and vile criticism-in-a-mirror political greed and absolutism which I hope will not produce world war three before it’s done. China has its own origins and history and has rejected the west’s, that is, except for a certain weapon that they decided to adopt from us—Marxism. New era: Trump referred to it as a Golden Age of America. But that’s not the name. It can’t be another ‘post modernism’ because it’s a necessary rejection of it.

Wow, this guy will even act like a Christian saint to get elected. Well It would be judging the unknown to say if he is or isn’t. But he keeps saying Islam is comparable to Christianity; and Canon Law Sharia Law. That’s just not true. They are different. One has stability and applies to members of the Church, the other applies outwardly to the public without single juridical authority nor rescinding of many immoral anti human value laws that can be enforced by any new or old juridical authority coming to or holding power. So, it’s not a good show to act like they’re the same, which he has stated. It looks like he’s playing off ideas of misplaced emotions, or conning. It’s a form of bullying. Look for instance what he said about John Fetterman, that sometimes we need to “put a head on a pike.” That’s nothing like being a Christian who prays. So, watching him over time tells you he is feigning genuineness and will bully people, like the young man who asked him about his loyalties. He put him on trial asking his intentions. Maybe he thinks his head should be on a pike if he questions Islam (within Sharia law). And questioning him immediately became treated as Islamophobia towards him. He is acting out Muslim Brotherhood because they have called their members to take advantage of Western freedoms, fraud welfare, gain positions of power, use socialism or whatever to eventually force its rule. This is consistent with how he has been acting like anything or saying tactically what will get him votes. It’s true politicians will do this to get votes, but he’s also bullying and playing on emotions and putting on many faces. I don’t see, for example, Mike Rogers doing that.
As a man of faith, I pray every day. Faith is a thing there’s just too little of in Washington.

Yes, France needs @nayibbukele Nayib Bukele!

President Obama, protecting Americans and investigating credible fraud allegations are legitimate government responsibilities—even when the person under investigation criticizes the president. The scale of fraud exposed in Minnesota warrants serious scrutiny. It does not establish Omar’s guilt, but neither does her opposition to Trump establish political persecution. Americans deserve protection from both abuse of government power and fraud. You ask Americans to be outraged on Omar’s behalf. Where is the same urgency about protecting citizens and holding those responsible for fraud accountable? Political retaliation is wrong. So is using accusations of retaliation to dismiss legitimate scrutiny.
It is a basic principle of American democracy that the government can’t selectively target individuals simply because of their political beliefs or what they say. But that’s exactly what the Trump Administration is doing to Congresswoman Ilhan Omar of Minnesota. To understand why this is so appalling, it’s important to know the facts. Congresswoman Omar came to this country with her father when she was 12 years old. Five years later, her father became a naturalized citizen. If Ilhan had been 18 at the time, she would have had to apply for citizenship separately. But because she was 17, she became a naturalized citizen automatically. Congresswoman Omar went on to graduate from college, work as a community organizer, become the first Somali-American legislator elected to public office in the U.S., and win a seat in Congress. There, she has been one of the Trump Administration’s fiercest critics, which has led the president to repeatedly single her out as someone who he believes does not belong in this country. Now the Administration is actively trying to deport Congresswoman Omar, seemingly based solely on the unsubstantiated theory that she was actually 18 when her father was naturalized, and therefore is not a citizen. Federal agents have raided her home, confiscated personal records, and seized her phone — all to try and uncover a nonexistent smoking gun from 20 years ago that will somehow make their case. Think about that. The full weight of the federal government is being brought down on a law-abiding elected official because she has dared to criticize the president. And it’s not the first time this has happened. Under President Trump, the Justice Department has repeatedly gone after those he considers his political enemies — from the Attorney General of New York, to the former head of the FBI, to members of the Federal Reserve. In those cases, the prosecutions either stalled or were dismissed for having no basis in law, and the same is likely to happen in this case. But not before Congresswoman Omar’s life has been turned upside down, her legal bills have piled up, and she’s been forced to spend time fighting unsubstantiated charges instead of serving the people of Minnesota. The fact that any president, or any administration, is willing to engage in such transparent efforts to intimidate someone should outrage all Americans, regardless of how they feel about Congresswoman Omar’s political views. Because if this becomes the new normal, there’s no reason to believe it will stop with her — or that future presidents, in either party, won’t do the same.

Actually, the questioner is right because the US Constitution was written with Christian, not Muslim, principles, one of which he stated, freedom of will which corresponds with freedom of religion. Islam does not allow for freedom of religion. If El Sayed is a good Muslim he will not put loyalty to the US Constitution over his loyalty to Islam. A good Christian putting loyalty to God according to Christian doctrine over the US Constitution does not violate his oath of office. But at least he got El Sayed to publicly denounce the Muslim Brotherhood.
Abdul spends 5 minutes refusing to disavow the Muslim Brotherhood, all while insulting a Michigan voter. We deserve better.

What I don’t understand is how is it possible that he was able to compete BOTH in the MEN’s AND the WOMEN’s races?
These brave girls took a massive stand today by walking off the field at their cross country meet. They were on the same team as the boy, so an even more courageous act! I was there! And I stand with these girls!!

Anthropic needs to be investigated. In this case their ideology, not the machine, are the danger. It’s the same concept of not allowing Iran regime to have a nuclear weapon. Same ethics argument as “It’s not the gun that kills, it’s the person using it.” This is worse.
David Sacks says Anthropic is run by a "religious cult" and is doing the very things it says it fears most, like opening a wet lab while warning of bio risk, and that there's an argument for sending in a federal SWAT team "But I do think that there are potential externalities from having the number one frontier model company run by a religious cult." "So, for example, they are opening a Claude-powered wet lab in the middle of San Francisco. But at the same time, they're warning of bio risk. At the same time, they say that we have to pace the frontier, they're extending the frontier. At the same time that they are saying that there's a risk of superintelligence growing beyond our control, they're programming it to grow beyond our control." "I think there are potentially huge externalities to the way they approach these things. And it's, like, insane that they call these decisions "safety." These are not safe decisions. These are crazy decisions, it seems to me." "This is why I've called this a schizophrenic company, is they appear to be not only hypocritical, but they're doing the things that they say they are most afraid of." "Like, what is going on here? This is bizarre. And I don't know where this all leads. I do think there's an argument for a federal SWAT team to come blasting in there."

Yes, glad to see this. And include not treating them like humans. In fact, what they are doing should be against the law, because it is possible for them to program it in such a way, as you and Satya point out, that is dangerous. It’s the humans that are dangerous, not the machines. Their incentives for doing this (political, monetary…) need to be taken away with seriousness before being able to develop at all.
Satya is right. The way to make SI safe is not to train it with a sense of self, its own moral philosophy, and permission to act as a conscientious objector. That’s the “alignment” approach and it magnifies the control problem. The engineering approach that Satya describes is different: separate the supply of intelligence from authority over it. Surround non-deterministic models with deterministic controls, observability, privilege limits, logging, and the ability to always contain or shut them down. Treat models/agents like powerful insider risks, not moral patients whose psychological wellbeing is at stake. As Satya points out, the most trustworthy system is the one that lets us trust the model the least — not the one that encourages the model to develop independent agency and grievances. Engineering safety is not the same thing as “alignment.”

🇧🇷🇺🇸 It’s official: Lula’s Federal Police have now placed the United States under investigation. The narrative is setting the stage so that, in the event of a @FlavioBolsonaro victory, the election can be annulled under the pretext of “foreign interference.” And this is happening even without USAID money pouring into Brazil, without the CIA director and other senior U.S. officials coming to Brazil to pressure Brazilian authorities. In other words, without anything resembling what already happened with the Biden Administration’s support for Lula in 2022.

What we are witnessing in Brazil is the biggest political backfire in modern political history. Communist tyrants came after Brazil’s Trump, Jair Bolsonaro. He survived an assassination attempt. They banned him from running for office. Then they threw him in jail. They accused him of attempting a coup after his election was stolen, just like they did here to Trump. He’s currently serving a 27 year prison sentence. The response: His wife won a Senate seat. His son Carlos won a Senate seat. His son Renan won a seat in Congress. His son Flávio is ahead of Lula for president of Brazil. His son could unseat the very tyrant who threw him in jail. The persecution of Bolsonaro has backfired into a political retribution against those who weaponized Government against the people's will. You might be able to try to silence a man but you cannot silence a movement.

Melat, your framing encourages people to equate wealth with theft. Wealth is needed for a strong economy: equipment, buildings, infrastructure, and savings available for investment. These support production and jobs which benefit others. It’s reckless to tell your audience that wealth itself is evidence that it was taken from them or acquired wrongly. Intended or not, that message undermines the wealth creation a strong economy needs and shows poor economic leadership.
What the billionaires who actually run the White House don’t want you to know about our rigged economy.

The problem with this video and its idea of AI is that it does not understand the human person and the value and meaning that the human is. It may be true for some people temporarily to be confused, but ultimately the human has deeper meaning than the machine, no matter how sophisticated. So the idea that a machine is going to destroy humanity is true only if some humans use it to destroy other humans. The machine itself isn’t going to destroy humans on its own. It may be that some humans make it to destroy other humans and appear like it is the one doing it rather than them. That’s possible. So pay attention to what the humans do not as much the machine itself.

Your math and idea is false, because having more billionaires will create more millionaires. Their wealth is our country’s strength and security. You’re a traitor to this country, because you’re telling voters that one American’s wealth is not our wealth, instead tempting them to think that one American’s wealth is against them. You’re attempting to divide the country by envy (one’s blessing excludes you because nature is such (response: despairing, fear, destroy. Islam and socialism have this in common), rather than one’s blessing means a blessing for you). This leads to lowering everyone’s wealth and decrease in the country’s strength and security. You may say you’re for America, but you have something in your judgment, that maybe you don’t even understand, that really isn’t.
He’s in luck: The ratio of total millionaires to billionaires in America is roughly 23,600 to 1.

Wow, Hakeem, it’s befuddling how you can stand in front of people and just lie like you do. It must take practice and hard work.
Republicans have broken the economy. The costs of housing, groceries, gas, child care and healthcare have all gone up dramatically. MAGA extremists want to deny reality. The American people know better.

Man, you’re an idiot, Bernie. Their wealth is our wealth. Our countries wealth is its strength and security. They’re not oligarchs unless they’re running the country, which of course is a conflict of interest and is not allowed by law. Their gathering yesterday shows that they’re being transparent. You want to destroy the wealth of our country by telling people that someone else’s wealth is their exclusion. The same thing that was told to Cain by Satan. Why don’t you leave our country and stop being a danger and traitor to it?
Thank you, President Trump for bringing together the Oligarchs who run our country. While working families struggle to survive due to your disastrous policies, they are now worth over $1.7 trillion, including: Elon Musk: $920 billion Jeff Bezos: $368 billion Mark Zuckerberg: $250 billion Jensen Huang: $200 billion Obscene.

AI — SI I have to be honest and say that taking out the word Artificial may not be a good idea because it is a crucially important part of man’s safety that we don’t lose sight of the fact that it’s man-made and not human and never will be human. That’s why the word Artificial is important.
Only President Trump could convene all the leaders of the top companies developing chips, data centers and frontier models for Super Intelligence. This new Industrial Revolution has already created a million new jobs and is spurring a bigger infrastructure build-out than the railroads, canals and grid combined. I was honored to witness history as the leaders of the frontier lab companies signed the White House Accord on Super Intelligence, accepting responsibility for the safe development of their products and imposing new internal controls and external audits. This is far better than waiting years for some international agreement that would probably never happen. President Trump continues to ensure that U.S. remains the technology leader while putting Americans first.
