Was thinking about this the other day. If you flip all five of those results (which I know you can't do, but just play along), the Colts are coming off three-straight playoff berths.
Their issues obviously go deeper than that, but losing five straight coin-flip games to the Texans alone essentially ruined three seasons.

My best sense of it is he wanted to win or tie at absolute worst. Playing not to lose & willing lower chances of winning to raise chances of a tie/lower the chance of losing.
The problem is, his decision significantly lowered win chances while barely affecting tie/loss chances.
The only possible way is if he's counting on multiple automatic first down penalties without scoring.
And he basically is admitting that he either STILL doesn't understand OT rules (ie, a touchdown there ends the game anyway) or he was playing for the tie

It's getting pretty clear that if El-Sayed loses, all the centrists will say it was because he didn't disavow Hasan while all the leftists will say its because he campaigned with Kamala Harris. However if he wins, everyone will say the opposite. Gotta love factional proxy wars.
