The New York Times is platforming "researchers" questioning whether newborns are conscious. My counter-headline: "Human beings born with spirit and mind do not question whether newborns are conscious." Clearly, the "researchers" are engaged in this question so that their "work" can eventually be used to justify infanticide. No thanks.

Anyone who works with newborns know they are conscious and even have the ability to learn. They quickly recognize the Moms or even caregivers. They quickly understand medical procedures are painful and cry before they are touched. I worked NICU for 20+ years. They are born with their own unique personalities that are there from birth.

When my son was born, he was crying bloody murder, his eyes scrunched tight. So I started singing a song I'd sung over & over while he was in the womb. He immediately got quiet, wobbled his little head toward my voice, & blinked up at me like wtf...😂 Babies are very aware.
