These immigrant founders of billion-dollar companies first came to the US as students. A $100,000 fee on OPT would have lost us many of them. Founders like these would be eligible for an O-1 today, after they've built their companies. But not when they were getting started.

Why do you always show the outliers without aggregate statistics?

Most OPT aren't superstars, but the superstars have the biggest positive spillovers. Of course, even people far less successful than unicorn founders can still be a huge benefit to Americans. I'd be fine tightening up standards, but if your plan forfeits getting people like this, it's stupid imo.

Why can't they do this in their country again? If they are so talented .... Make it make sense. Also can you list a single company there that isn't simply a 'me too' startup that got successful by outsourcing labor to foreigners to undercut their competition...because I see a theme.

We are not an economic zone. Why do you see Americans as untalented? How is it not obvious that this reflects badly on you?

who the fuck cares, the cheap forign labor is 99% being used to crush wages. VCs can feel free to go to India and fund people, and grt them the genius visa.

How many Americans and how many H1B foreigners do those companies employ?

We have a severe job shortage in this country. India alone sent $160 Billion in remittances out of our economy just last year... more than the value of every company on your list combined. We don't give a shit if 1 in a million Indians will found a company. We need jobs.

About 4 of those companies have any sort of unique value.

How many equally talented American students were denied a start in life because this program fantasy foreign students with heavy incentives? What business never got built by Americans because of this corporate giveaway?

So out of tens of thousands of students a year and millions of H1b/f1 etc,... we come up with this... Upend your life, culture and history for an app that allows you to finance Taco Bell. How utterly pathetic.

Vast majority of OPT are dogshit and paying less taxes. Let’s stop them first and then we can sort good ones in if we want them. Liberals such as yourselves have nobody else to blame after you abused mass immigration.

How many Americans do these companies hire? I would bet that they are loaded up with foreign visa workers! The list is not that impressive sans SpaceX.

They all need to leave. They are detrimental to this country. It's incumbent upon you to identify the ways in which Whites have been systemically beaten down to the point that they're not building, the loans given to "minorities" (read: foreigners who are NOT minorities their own countries), etc. The tradeoffs for line go up GDP nuts has been the dispossession of Americans. It will end, we will end it - you either get on board or you get treated like a traitor.

Why don’t you show us all of the immigrant CEOs who fired Americans then brought in workers from their home country or outsourced the jobs to their home country?

We dont need foreigners to do this at all. There are endless ways to explain how immigration is lazily used to hide what prevents citizens from doing it.

How many of these founders were actually on OPT rather than another visa or a green card? Almost none. But sure, lump together every founder with a foreign-sounding name and pretend it proves how essential OPT is

Pay attention to his use of words. They came in as F1 students, never mentioned any one of them being on OPT or CPT. He also conveniently ignores that more than 50% of all students visas go to Indian and Chinese nationals that are not overwhelmingly represented on the chart. 👇

At best 3 or 4 of those companies are actually important and real world value adders. You make your money defending immigration, you are as biased as one could get when touching these topics.

Oh, sure, everyone's endlessly virtue-signaling about "talent" and H-1B visas, but somehow no one wants to notice the glaring little detail that none of this supposed brilliance actually doesanything until it gets airlifted into Western civilization. In the 2024/25 academic year, a cool 266,000 Chinese students decided America was the place to be. You know, the same China that's constantly hyped as having that magical higher average IQ. So... if the raw cognitive firepower is so superior over there, why exactly are they stampeding here by the hundreds of thousands instead of setting the world on fire back home? Just asking questions.

So let them go home, build companies, and then come to the U.S. as many do, rather than having hundreds of thousand stay who don't create such companies and deprive Americans of jobs.

OPT is affirmative action for foreigners over American talent. If they are that impressive then they will be scouted and funded.
