Last night, on the holiest day of the Jewish year, a horrifying act of violence took place outside the Sons of Jacob Synagogue in Belleville, injuring a police officer. This is devastating for the community. Jewish Canadians should not have to feel scared in their place of worship. There is no place for antisemitism in our province, and we must do everything we can to stamp it out. My thoughts are with the Jewish community as they grapple with this horrific act. I want to thank local law enforcement for ensuring everyone’s safety and we are wishing the injured officer a swift recovery.

Meet Johanna: She’s a 89-year old woman, who’s lived in her building for decades. When flooding hit her home, her corporate landlord failed to fix the problem properly. Johanna doesn’t think that’s fair, and neither do I. The RHEU should step to help renters like Johanna, but the Ford government has left it: ❌ Understaffed ❌ Underfunded ❌ Investigating only a tiny fraction of cases Like Johanna’s apartment, it needs to be fixed. It’s not too much to ask.
