Whitmer put covid patients into nursing homes, killing thousands intentionally. Anyone praising her is an enemy of humanity. Trump is a dirtbag.

🧵This is an ode to MAGA Americans, on behalf of Leaving MAGA: Dear MAGA Americans, I was a devoted member of MAGA nation for seven years; it made me feel I was part of something important: a movement that was trying to save American democracy. But starting in 2021, I realized I had been mistaken. It took me a full year to finally break away. During that time, I came to understand that MAGA is sustained by a series of myths that are intended to create perpetual feelings of desperation and panic.

I don’t often ask for favors, but can you retweet this if you don’t mind? I’d love to post the “OVER 9000” meme on #NewYear2025!

yes, i've been tweeting about the "right" more than the "left" recently but i don't really think people need help seeing democrats are a complete clown show of corporatist warmongering and authoritarian goons. many have collective amnesia about trump's 1st term + fail to see history repeating itself, and that is why i have focused more on that recently

Replying to @_joerodgers
a lot of terrible ideas for society floated publicly during the covid era are going to get repackaged as "innovation"

DEFIANT BAPTIST'S DEFINITIVE GUIDE TO ELECTION 2024 #Election2024 Boy, that escalated quickly. I mean, that really got out of hand fast. THE GOOD ~Kamala Harris is not president and will never be president. Make no mistake, she is a far left Marxist who would have had minority superpowers, so we avoided a lot of damage. ~Clarence Thomas can safely retire and be replaced by a (hopefully) conservative jurist. ~Celebrity endorsements and money advantages don't matter if your candidate sucks, thank God. ~A historical precedent was not set, wherein a political party can simply replace their nominee outside of a democratic process. Had Harris succeeded, the democrats surely would have employed this type of coup in the future. ~The lawfare against Donald Trump completely failed. This method of politicking will not likely be used in the future by the democrats. They played with fire and got burned. ~A stake through the heart of DEI. The democrat candidate and campaign was completely infused with DEI, and the voters rejected it soundly. Furthermore, minorities refused to be patronized by this message and showed up in huge numbers for Trump. ~RIP to stolen election claims. Many in conservative media are still clinging to a non-existent kraken, but the facts are clear: Trump lost an election in 2020 as an incumbent, and he won an election in 2024 as a challenger. In both cases, nothing was stolen. Case closed, move on! ~MAGA cannot scapegoat DeSantis supporters for Trump's loss. ~Trump cannot run for president again! ~𝕏 proved to be a force in the new media, thank God that Elon Musk bought Twitter. ~Gavin Newsom probably doesn't have a path to the nomination in 2028. I don't think the democrats will nominate another communist from California after the Harris faceplant. THE BAD ~You get a tariff, and you get a tariff, and YOU get a tariff! Donald Trump's most consistent policy throughout the campaign was that tariffs are a hammer and every problem is a nail. This will increase prices across the board for Americans. ~The GOP is probably forever a MAGA party. This means leftwing populism over conservatism on every issue. Republicans will view Trump's positions as the only way forward to win elections. ~Trump will continue to nominate losers and sycophants in the 2026 midterms. ~Trump has surrounded himself with current and former(?) democrats, yikes. ~Who is going to work in Trump's cabinet?! I'm very concerned with his personnel decisions, which have been terrible! ~Trump will be a lame duck president on day 1, so it will be very difficult for him to get any permanent changes done. He didn't do any of the things he promised in 2016, and he may not even have a GOP House in 2025. ~JD Vance is now on the fast track to be the 2028 nominee. He is not a conservative and has no accomplishments besides changing his views 180 degrees for Trump. THE UGLY ~Donald Trump has near godlike status at this point. He dodged two impeachments. He dodged four different criminal indictments. He dodged a bullet, literally. He made a "historic" political comeback, as described by conservative media. Trump has a great understanding of leverage, and right now he has it in spades with no accountability to anyone. He's now a demigod, as @Zigmanfreud has said. Conservatives (especially in the media) will be hesitant to criticize him, after he killed a second wicked witch of the west. ~Trump is fine with abortion. Unborn babies have lost in a big way. After the Dobbs decision, Trump put abortion completely on the backburner (it's a state issue now). We do not have a pro-life champion in the White House. He just doesn't care, and as a result most Republican governors don't either. This was reflected in ballot initiatives across the country. Many Republicans voted Trump top of ticket and pro-abortion bottom of ticket. Consciences are seared. ~Trump is fine with transgender surgery for children, as long as parents consent. This is such a disaster! ~Trump is fine with a "conservative" version of LGBTQ. His moderate positions have shifted the Overton Window to the left of Obama 2008. ~We honestly have no idea what Trump is going to do when he is sworn in. He doesn't have clear policies, just more of "I alone can fix it." There are some very serious issues across the globe that require clear plans to deal with, and as far as we can tell, he is winging it. So what do you think? Is there anything I left out? Am I being too hard on Donald Trump? Is it my fault that Ron DeSantis wasn't the nominee? Let me know!

I just want you to understand what a potential GOP trifecta would be inheriting with the economy. There is no way out of stagflation without serious deficit reduction. Reminder: everything Republicans plan to do will only add to the deficit and therefore fuel stagflation. We need a family discussion and a serious plan. x.com/connorobrienNH/status/…
