BIG NEWS! The XRP Ledger is positioning itself deeper and deeper into the infrastructure being built for the next generation of global finance. ACI Worldwide, which says it supports around 9% of global SWIFT traffic and ~30% in the US, is extending ACI Connetic to support payments orchestrated through SWIFT’s blockchain based ledger. Banks will be able to process tokenized deposits alongside traditional payments, with transactions intelligently routed across different payment and settlement rails. Now look at what ACI already says its infrastructure supports: “SWIFT FIN, gpi, DLT (e.g. Ripple), Wire and immediate payments.” Ripple is literally the example ACI gives for DLT within this multi-rail infrastructure. This is the financial system moving towards the environment Ripple and XRPL have spent years building for: Tokenized assets. Institutional payments. 24/7 settlement. Interoperability. Onchain liquidity. Real world asset infrastructure. And as more of global finance becomes tokenized and interoperable, XRPL has the opportunity to capture a much larger share of that activity.
