"Luke Skywalker in The Last Jedi was perfect, accurate to who Luke would be 30 years later. "
•• How is this conclusion drawn? From the lore established before the buyout?
"He's flawed, human, conflicted, he makes mistakes. But eventually he does the right thing & comes back as a hero."
•• Yes, in the lore established before, He never ran away to abandon the galaxy to his mistakes, like the Disney Luke, who never did anything to "come back as a hero" in the Disney lore. Original lore Luke was flawed, a star wars type human species, who was a jedi & yes he made mistakes. He was resolute in his stance of standing by his morals, for the Jedi, the galaxy, family & friends.
"Instead of a big dumb lightsaber battle again, Luke used nothing but the force, & tricked the villain using his own weakness (anger) to save the rebellion, at the cost of his own life."
•• Why is lightsaber battles dumb? The force can be used in lightsaber battles. Luke in DSW did not do anything significant with the force to defeat the enemy. Yet he ignited his lightsaber and antagonized, which is not very Jedi, then died. He did not save the resistance (they aren't the rebellion), Rey did. Luke is strongest force character in the galaxy - yet died in DSW. Where, in the original lore, Luke force project's & never dies.
"A total Jedi Master move, Windu would have granted him the rank."
•• Mace Windu would have shamed disney Luke for abandoning the galaxy.
"People's mistake was comparing him to that EU fan fiction yuppie Luke. They dehumanized him into a walking action figure just to sell books."
•• the "EU fan fiction yuppie Luke" was created & approved by Lucas & his company. I take the creater of this image & those who repost it have not read the EU. Luke Skywalker was never a "walking action figure". Like I shared, he was flawed, a star wars type human species, who was a jedi & yes he made mistakes. Luke was resolute in his stance of standing by his morals, for the Jedi, the galaxy, family & friends. We seen him grow in his abilities, yet still failed & needed help. Even to defeat Abeloth.
"George Lucas even said he doesn't recognize the EU as part of the story. Give the movie another chance, it's brilliant... and best of all, it's canon."
•• George disavowed Disney Star Wars.
However, the EU, George & his company seen & said it contributed to the saga. The saga is the movies, the franchise. The Expanded Universe is canon to George Lucas Era Star Wars. All created, overseen, contributed by George & those he & his company brought in. The REAL CANON.
