🚨UPDATE: The first reported picture of 16-year-old John J. Griffin II, identified as the gunman behind the deadly elementary school shooting in Bend, Oregon, has just been released!! The picture reportedly shows Griffin alongside his mother, Shauntai May Nickerson, during a family outing last month.  The picture was originally shared on Facebook by his mom last month and has now been published by the New York Post.

There’s no such thing as a “good guy with a gun”. A good person would lay down their firearms with grace and dignity. Especially after yet another school shooting, this time in Oregon at Silver Rail ELEMENTARY. When will this end?

We were once at a restaurant when I was a kid, and there was a live pianist there to entertain the crowd. At one point, he asked the patrons for recommendations. I went over and asked if he could play something by oasis. He said he didn’t know how. I asked if he could play the blues. He said he didn’t know how. I came back to the table, asked my father what was up with the pianist. He said it was not the fault of the pianist. It was the fault of whoever hired him. Who recommended Katie for the job? She was clearly unqualified. They clearly did not vet her properly. This is an unnecessary embarrassment for everyone involved.

Details are always sketchy after an incident like this but so far what we think we know is that Kaylub Giamanco, a straight white male father, husband & carpenter, broke SEVERAL unconstitutional Oregon state laws, risking his life and freedom, and used his concealed carry gun to kill the child murderer who was armed with a much more powerful and capable long gun in an absolutely chaotic environment saving an untold number of innocent lives. If the commie female governor of Oregon comes after this man I will personally start and train a posse of American citizens and break him out of jail. As for the Good Samaritan, kudos. I’m glad Bend had one. Parkland, near where I grew up, did not. Neither did Uvalde. Our good guy with a gun is not always guaranteed and it’s for that reason why I think it would be better to just have a wait time in place so a BGC can be done.

Hi Tiffany. I’ll be respectful too. I agree we also need to invest more mental health, so why are we cutting services to it? Back to the Guns; I’m not for an unenforceable ban. I’m aware people need to defend themselves. Massachusetts doesn’t ban guns. It’s a wait period.

Don’t you think a gun culture makes it more likely that this happens? For example, I’m in the U.K. where we don’t have a gun culture, and our murder rate from guns is minuscule in comparison. I don’t think we necessarily have fewer bad people than America.

Bad guys will always have guns. There's no logical reasoning out of this. It's better to have armed teachers.
