Here's what 24 teams would look like last year if they gave all Conference Champions a spot and At-Large bids for the rest. This would be awesome and would make every conference important, like they do at every other level of football.
The 24-team College Football Playoff should include all 10 conference champions, but it won’t. Check the replies to find out why 👇

NEW: The College Football Playoff committee will now consider a strength-of-conference metric in its selection process, @CFBHeather reports. The new metric will help determine the strength of each conference based on the schedule strength of each team in its league. on3.com/news/report-college-…

Yesterday I caddied for a group with more money than they could spend in many, many lifetimes. And I'll admit, there was a period during the loop where I felt envious. They were talking about trip after trip after trip that they had planned all over the world. Multiple homes. Dinner plans at expensive restaurant. Etc. But today I get to have the joy of morning coffee in my comfy chair. I get to walk a beautiful golf course and come home with some cash in my pocket to pay the bills. I have leftover Chinese in the fridge. NFL is starting. I have great followers on X who support the mission at the Sober House. My family is healthy. I'm healthy. Turns out, I'm rich! Happy Sunday, Friends! Rooting for you!

47% of government spending is on some form of welfare. Only 8% is on defense. Reducing welfare spending is profoundly difficult politically...but it must be done or we will go the way of Rome.

We didn’t need 60 votes to bring in 50 million illegals. Why do we need 60 votes to send them home?

100% correct. When I was at the Del Rio, TX Haitian bridge camp in 2021, many of the Haitians told me they had been living in Chile & Brazil for years before coming to the US illegally for economic (not safety) reasons. The Haitians were dumping & tearing up their Chilean documents at the river’s edge hide this fact from the US so it wouldn’t hurt their fraudulent asylum claims. The idea that all these Haitians came directly from Haiti after an earthquake or assassination is false. Many of them were living happily and safely for years in South America until Biden’s open border policies became too attractive to pass up. Others also flew into the US via Biden’s CHNV mass parole program which was supposed to be for only 2 year humanitarian parole grants. Of course, most never left.
A large share of Haitians (and Cubans & Venezuelans) who were allowed in under Biden did not come from their home countries but from 3rd countries like Chile, Brazil and Spain, where they had residency & work permits. So they can return there if they don't want to go home.

As a general rule, anytime Barack Obama lectures the country or its people on their purported sins—with Khalil Gibran pop platitudes—he is seeking absolution for his own obsessions by projecting his own guilty desires onto others. The latest? At the dedication of his narcissistic Obama Presidential Center in Chicago—a $850 million flak-tower, monolithic boondoggle mired in debt—Obama lectured us on the need to resist the allure off "money, attention, [and] fame." Thus spoke the owner of four homes, three of them multimillion-dollar mansions, whose last inert year in office was spent closing book and Netflix deals that ensured he would become a multimillionaire the moment he left office, and on spec, jets private to sermonize to various audiences–often at $400,000 a shot—on their own false-consciousness shortcomings. Plain-speaking, frugal Harry Truman in obscure retirement in Independence, Missouri Obama certainly is not.

An insanely rigged economy is when someone can work in government their entire life, never produce anything of value, and end up a millionaire with three homes while bemoaning the “oligarchy.”
THE INSANELY RIGGED ECONOMY Yesterday, while tens of millions of families were struggling to pay for rent, food, healthcare, childcare and gas, seven of Trump's oligarchic friends became $210 billion richer. Not last week. Not over the past decade. In less than 24 hours, these 7 men, the wealthiest people on earth, became $210 billion richer. Incredibly, since Trump was elected on November 5, 2024, these 7 men, all Big Tech Oligarchs, have become more than $1.5 trillion richer and are now collectively worth over $2.8 trillion. Meanwhile, we have the highest rate of childhood poverty of any other wealthy nation, young adults have a lower standard of living than their parents and over 20% of our seniors are trying to survive on an annual income of $15,000 a year or less. Yes. We are living in an oligarchy. A Good Day for Trump’s Friends: Yesterday, Elon Musk, the richest man in the world, got $164.8 billion richer and is now worth $1.4 trillion. He’s worth $1.1 trillion more than on Election Day. Yesterday, Larry Page, the second wealthiest man in the world, gained $7.61 billion in wealth and is now worth $314 billion. He’s worth $161 billion more than on Election Day. Yesterday, Sergey Brin, the third richest man in the world, got $7.01 billion richer and is now worth $292 billion. He’s worth $148 billion more than on Election Day. Yesterday, Jeff Bezos, the fourth richest man in the world, gained $6.96 billion in wealth and is now worth $267 billion. He’s worth $46 billion more than on Election Day. Yesterday, Larry Ellison, the fifth wealthiest man in the world, gained $8.92 billion in wealth and is now worth $247 billion. He’s worth $63 billion more than on Election Day. Yesterday, Michael Dell, the sixth richest man in the world, got $5.86 billion richer and is now worth $218 billion. He’s worth $101 billion more than on Election Day. Yesterday, Mark Zuckerberg, the seventh richest man in the world, gained $9.16 billion in wealth and is now worth $211 billion. He’s worth $8 billion more than on Election Day. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. said it best: “Call it democracy or call it democratic socialism, but there must be a better distribution of wealth within this country for all of God’s children.”

I need to apologise to America because I judged you on stereotypes. This country is genuinely beautiful. The people are lovely, the roads are insane and everything feels bigger. I get the hype now.

College football sells TV deals, playoff formats, and star players—but what actually keeps fans invested? HOPE. “Hope drives engagement. Engagement drives viewership. Viewership drives dollars.” Take that away and you don’t just “change” the sport, you rip its heart out…

The beauty of CFB is you can go 11-1 or 10-2 in the regular season and not make it because you're simply in the wrong conference and have the wrong brand!! How exciting!!! 😂🤦🏼‍♂️
You can go 9-8 in the NFL and play for the Super Bowl. You can go 83-79 in MLB and make the World Series. The beauty of college football is your regular season matters. It might not much longer. nytimes.com/athletic/7277707…

Hypothetically…….. We are being taxed on money we never made. Let that sink in. If I bought my property outright for $160,000 in 2009 Now the county says it’s worth $446,000. Did I sell it? No. Did I make a profit? No. Did I get a check for $446,000? No. But my taxes jumped like I did. That’s the problem. This isn’t income. This isn’t cash. This is a number someone decided on paper and now I’m being billed for it. If my stock portfolio doubles, I don’t pay taxes until I sell. If my income doesn’t increase, I don’t magically owe more income tax. So why does owning a home work differently? Why am I being taxed on unrealized gains? A house isn’t just an investment, it’s where people live. And this system means you can do everything right, pay off your home, and still get squeezed harder every year because of a number you never turned into money. You don’t truly own something if you can be taxed out of it. This isn’t about “services” or “inflation.” It’s about being charged for value you never received. It’s time people start to notice.
