Our preprint is now published: In collab. w/ Ruma Banerjee we show how the B12 chaperone MMADHC spends its life in two cellular 'zip codes' dictated by the mitochondrial PMF (similar to PINK1). Co-led by @Sneha_Rath_, Zhu Li. doi.org/10.1073/pnas.2537797…
Excited to share new work in collaboration w/ Ruma Banerjee’s group. Following mitochondrial depolarization, the vitamin B12 chaperone MMADHC is stabilized and boosts B12-dependent MTR activity in the cytosol. Regulation is reminiscent of PINK1, ATFS1.
