Public media funding supports PBS and other educational outlets that serve every community, not partisan bias. And the “trillion-dollar” label inflates routine budget extensions into a false crisis. History shows government shutdowns don’t safeguard principles; they punish patriots with furloughed troops, shuttered services, and delayed aid. The duty of Americans is not to indulge division but to safeguard our republic. Shutdowns weaken our strength, while compromise keeps our nation moving. Call Congress at 202-224-3121 and tell Republican lawmakers to work with Democrats, fund government responsibly, and protect families who deserve stability and service, not another round of political brinkmanship.
