The media wants Americans to look at TODAY'S gas price in isolation.
Fine. Let's use NUMBERS - and adjust for inflation.
🇺🇸 BIDEN
2021 average: $3.01 → about $3.65 in 2026 dollars
2022 average: $3.95 → about $4.43 today
June 13, 2022 peak: $5.006 → roughly $5.62 today
2023 average: $3.52 → about $3.79 today
2024 average: $3.30 → about $3.46 today
That wasn't a bad week. Americans dealt with elevated gasoline prices for YEARS.
🇺🇸 PRESIDENT TRUMP - SECOND TERM
Jan. 20, 2025: $3.109
Much of 2025: roughly $3.00–$3.20
Jan. 12, 2026: $2.779
Then came the major 2026 energy shock.
Sept. 28, 2026: $4.465
So YES - gas is expensive RIGHT NOW.
But compare the SAME presidential timeline and adjust old prices for inflation.
Biden's $5.006 peak = roughly $5.62 in today's money.
Today's $4.465 is still about $1.15 BELOW that Biden-era peak in real purchasing-power terms.
Don't give me selective snapshots.
Same timeframe. Same gallon. Inflation adjusted. Then let's talk.
I don't like watching many Americans not giving President Trump the credit he deserves.
It's really sad to watch.
The man gets hit on all sides but he keeps on fighting for ya'll day in, day out.
If it was some of us, we'd throw in the towel a while back.
