Happy Monday Everyone 😊 It feels like the perfect time to re-introduce myself to my new followers. I am known as The Olivia Pope of VC aka "The fixer" because I love problem solving for founders. 🏠 I grew up in Lagos and moved to the UK when I was 17. I am Mum to Adam, Ivy and Iris 🎩 I am a multiple hat wearer. I started my career at SVB UK in Venture Debt, then I started the first child-friendly coding school for Mums, Mums in Tech. In 2018, I joined the Venture arm of a Family Office investing across all stages and sectors. I set up Levare Ventures in 2022 to invest in African startups and have made 7 investments into companies like Chowdeck and Raenest. I am also an Angel investor into 8 companies. 🗣️I am an advocate for more inclusive funding and representation in VC. People often assume that if something doesn't exist, there is no market for it. @JuneAngelides found the opposite when she built Mums in Tech. Nobody had ever built a child-friendly coding school, yet she quickly realised the ecosystem was hungry for something different. Leaving a safe job to build the unknown turned out to be one of the best bets she ever made.
